You are mentioning one game in isolation. Felix didn't get a minute of match time against Everton, Fulham, and Palace, and the one game he played was at LW against Ipswich. Nkunku was fielded as a CF, and people are wondering why he was a non-entity. He isn't a CF. As I mentioned in another thread, it's very clear Maresca has his favourites who might have delivered for him prior to Everton away, but they haven't been doing so since. At least we are in agreement about something —rotation, rotation, rotation.

I don't really care a whole lot about KDH. He's not good enough like many signed by the club, so I don't think he should be singled out.
Maresca is a newbie coach like Arteta was when he took over Arsenal--this was mentioned a lot around here. There is should be no surprise.
Felix is shit (at this level) and he belongs at a smaller club. He demands a free role to operate, but isn't good enough to get one at a club like Chelsea. He shouldn't have been signed.

The problem for Maresca is that not one of our attackers (bar Palmer) is consistent enough to be first choice on the team sheet.   

Neto, Sancho, Mudryk (before he got banned), Madueke...are all the same, decent players on their day but not consistent game changers.   Same can be said for Jackson, but he's got plenty of room to improve and become a quality striker. 

It says a lot when our best attacker (talent wise) Nkunku is nowhere near his early season form and he's keen to leave after seeing a few months of Maresca's tactics.

While I agree that none is the match winner type, I strongly disagree about Mudryk: if I called Felix shit above, to make a point, Mudryk is barely a footballer in my mind. Players have different characteristics, like in terms of work rate for ex, Neto > Madueke >>> Sancho >>>>>>>>> Mudryk.

All I hear on this forum is scoring goals, but when I watch our games all I see is us conceding nonstop. It's totally OK to win 1 nil sometimes.

You guys remember Rudiger, Jorginho, Giroud under Lampard? He watched them every single day in training and decided to freeze them. And remember what Tuchel did with them in the same season? One become arguably best CB in the world, other was UEFA player of the year and last one was scoring in every opportunity he got.

First of all, as much as I consider, and have said so before, Maresca as a newcomer at this level, Lampard really never did anything in coaching o deserve to be our manager.

Now, Jorginho and Giroud were pretty much the same players everybody knew with very glaring strengths and weaknesses. Rudiger was always an interesting player, but had a pretty rough time with injuries. We only got to see his abnormally high pace for a CB, once he stayed injury-free for a while.

This place is so weird... The club hires the championship "Arteta". Many here, myself included, show disappointment with the lack of ambition and suggest he will be a yes-man to help with a very long-term project. Now we are finally discovering all that again?! has anything changed? What did people expect? He's a project just like the squad we have.
Many of us warned about young players and lack of consistency... see Gusto's form? Is he a bad player all of the sudden?

Finally, do you see a Rudiger in the squad? a Jorginho, or a Giroud? because all I see is limited CBs (with a single one IMO with WC *potential*), a very young perma-wrecked DM, and an even younger striker who will NOT play whoever the manager may be.

Honestly, missing out on both Garnacho and Tel would be a big time blessing in disguise. I’m glad it seems as if the Garnacho situation just died suddenly after everyone and their mother had reported it was happening. 

Neither player is what we need at all right now. Especially Tel, a player with no defined position and who is too raw to be a major contributor in an already young team. 

At this point I’m done even thinking about the this club bringing in anyone this week. I don’t trust them. So now my focus is on hoping they don’t do anything stupid. Signing nobody is better than them making some stupid deal for a player like Disasi who we’ll be trying to sell off 6 months from now.

I suspected when we first recalled him that we just wanted to give him a head start training with the first team for 6 months before being ready to contribute here next season.
