The deal fell through because they couldn’t register him on time with LA LIGA. A lot of frustrated players left at Cobham. Some of the young players want to move to Portugal. True, we don’t have a marquee striker but between Palmer, Neto, Nkunku, Felix, and Jackson that should be plenty of goals to get us into contention for 3rd/4th. If Sancho miraculously turns things around that’s a significant upgrade on Mudryk who barely looks like a footballer. I’d be depressed if Newcastle, United, Villa, Liverpool etc all had 10 out of 10 windows whilst we signed dross. But none of them made moves so good that we should be thinking “yikes, we got left behind.” Newscaster signed basically nobody, Liverpool signed ONE player who is a huge injury risk. United signed some players that should be good but don’t look like big game changers to me. We should be fine as long as there’s steady improvement and comfort within this new system. You can't trust Badiashile/Disasi to play significant minutes and we still don't know how many minutes Fofana will be able to play this season considering his injuries. Just have to hope it gets more solid. The attacking talent we have is absurd, though.
