Then we have room to get a natural DM anchor to play next to Enzo in the summer. Yeah, in some way I agree with you however we would be left with Enzo, new DM, Kovacic (injury prone, won't be better), Kante (finished) and bunch of unproven youngsters (Hall, Chukwumueka, Casadei, Santos, Webster etc). We would still need more depth if we want to play 3 in the middle. Unless Mount will learn how properly play as midfielder.

Same with CHO maybe if he goes in the summer? CHO contract is ending in 2024, why would any club agree to insert a buyback clause, we would be lucky if we get any good moeny for him. Is it? Didn’t realise ending so soon but even then, still doesn't rule it out but makes it more unlikely.

We’ve done everything we can do on our side at this point. We really want the move, player really wants the move, now up to Benfica. Whatever happens now we can’t be upset with the club. They’ve pushed as hard as they could. Not really if we had done this when we said we would he would've already been here for sure. We decided to submit this offer 2 days before deadline when they can't find replacement..

Already got Rico Lewis and Kyle Walker there which is apparently why they were keen to let him go. More LB their struggling with although Ake has done well, wouldn’t be surprised if they prioritised a more natural left footed LB as I think Gomez has struggled to convince them. But again not many of them out there, maybe they’re a bit regretful letting Zinchenko go. Edited January 30, 2023 by OneMoSalah

Pizy 19,319
Wonder what happens if Gallagher refuses to go. I don’t think the club would be terribly upset if we had to keep him but this is the sort of money you don’t say no to. Perhaps another club or two will scramble for Conor in the final hours now they see what sort of price we’d accept. Could get a little bidding war tomorrow for him. Youngsters don't count and that leaves us with five and that is if we can move KK. If not Chalobah has to go. And we will have to buy Rice and a HG keeper.
