Koundes only 5 10 ? Hmm.

That does not make him a necessarily bad defender, but I hope he has a good leap like Puyol. Else., this could be a disaster in some of the league games.

Not necessarily, when did it become only centre half's that defend with headers?

He is short for a CB but he’s super powerful. He’s built a lot like Reece James. I wouldn’t be worried about his corner defending ability.

Would be nice for our other CB buy to have some height, however. Though if we buy Gvardiol he’s not tall, either.

It is true that Koulibaly likes Barcelona and is on their list, other clubs like Chelsea also interested in him. De Laurentiis doesn't want to lose Koulibaly for free and will ask around €30m - €40m.

at around £25-30m for him would be a steal

he has at least 2, 3 great years left IMHO

he was a beast this year at the age of 30

CB's, CF's (in some cases) and GKers (obviously) are the exception to my '30yo' rule

look at Thiago, Benz, Lewa, VVD, Matip (had a better year than VVD IMHO), Stefan de Vrij, Simon Kjaer (pre season-ending injury), Craig Dawson (massive part of West Ham this season at 32yo) etc etc

Yes. Not necessarily.

And where did I say it was only up to CBs to defend headers?

I have watched A LOT of full games and also extended highlights with Kounde. Posted some here.

He is too often a liability in the air on crosses and free kicks. and he often has poor positioning.

He is a ball watcher.

We all know Pulisic isn't the answer. He never was. He showed glimpses of another level to his game against Liverpool that one time... he has scored some important goals but he will never be what we expect. He is too fragile and doesn't have the IT FACTOR. We need absolute killers in attack.

He is good on the counter but we play mostly against low block teams. Now that we have American owners, we don't need puli for publicity anymore. We will be the American club with an IPO probably coming soon.

What's your opinion on Bremer from Torino? Apparently we are hot for him.

Lets play som Football Manager.  Get the French trio Kounde (55£m), Tchouameni(60£m), Dembele(free), then add Perisic(free), Koulibaly(30£m), Hazard(loan) and Lewa(30£m).

Out:  Jorginho(30£m), ALonso(10£m), Azpi(free), Rudiger(free), Christensen(free), Barkley(15£m), Lukaku (60£m), Pulisic(45£m) and Werner(35£m)

We also have Sarr, Bakayoko, Emerson and Batshuayi that we can sell.
