Been obvious for a couple of weeks now that we aren’t signing any fullback. The club probably see that Reece should be back soon, Chalobah is back fit, and Tuchel seems to trust Sarr now so they’ll feel we have enough cover.

True . We might get away with it if our system change to 4141 bears fruit.

apparently this is our solution now. Instead of signing quality wingback  back ups like city we shift the system once rj and chilly are out. Would be ok for a small club but really disappointed with the board and their ambition. If we had only signed an upgrade on Alonso we could have still salvaged an outside CL chance

The club are going to look incredibly dumb if we get another injury at fullback the rest of the way. All they had to do was a 6 month loan for someone and had a month to do so. They’re banking on Tuchel’s coaching genius to cover their asses here.

Or having the smart idea of inserting a recall clause. Spending most of the window trying to "buy" back a player that we sent out on loan is beyond stupid.
