Don't understimated the power of a amazing striker. a player that can score a lot of goals.

There are people that look to city situation, but City that have the GOAT MANAGER is a exception.

United: Van Persie; Ruud; Ronaldo; Even Rooney

City: Aguero

Real Madrid/Barcelona: Ronaldo/Messi

Bayern: Lewa

Old Arsenal :Henry

Chelsea: Drogba; Diego Costa

Even Liverpool in 2013/2014 has Suarez, that almost guide club to Title or Old Torres

Its a very important that we have this TYPE of player. Its very important in some matches...

We lost 2013/2014 title because we don't have one of this guys. if we have Diego 1 year soon we coud won UCL and EPL that year.

But these for the main part are in the past for the the reason we're talking about.

That leaves us with the poser, Messi and Lewandoski all into their 30's the only one with any chance is Lewa he's 32 and probably only got another 2 years.

So who is this amazing striker that can rescue us from the doldrums? I can't think of anyone apart from the 2 that's been mentioned Haaland or Lakaku, and I don't think either of them would want to come here anyway.

And god forbid what about if we don't get the fourth place and or lose the ECL final, no ECL next season, we won't even be able to Andy Carrol...nah alright we might be able to get him.🤐

I don't agree with Giroud. He's been a great signing overall in my opinion and he came up clutch alongside Pulisic in the run in last season.

But against Arsenal highlighted that Giroud doesn't suit Tuchel's style. He's just not mobile enough to drift and drag players out of spaces. Those front 3 need to be fluent for this system to work. Whilst Havertz hadn't had the best of games against Arsenal, we looked significantly worse when Giroud came on and lost any momentum that we had pinning Arsenal in.

Tammy I think falls into the same category not due to his lack of mobility but his all round play on the ball again disrupts the fluidity. I think both will leave this summer.

It's a difficult position to be honest because we need a goal scorer but I don't think it's as simple as buying an out and out striker who contributes little else. Hopefully Tuchel has someone on his mind, maybe someone less obvious but would suit perfectly to his style. Regardless of this, we also need the other front players to improve next season on this season's goal tallies as they just aren't good enough.

Mount, Pulisic and Ziyech should all be getting 8 - 10 in the league, 12 - 15 all comps. Werner and Havertz i think should be aiming closer to 12 - 15 in the league each, and 18 - 20 in all comps.

We get that level of output from the above which I don't think is an unreasonable expectation, and perhaps add another attacker to the mix to contribute and we'll be much closer to the top next season.

Regarding your list, I'd agree with all bar Giroud. I think Christensen should also be added, especially if we continue in a back 3 system which suits his skillset perfectly, and I also think he has the potential of being the long term replacement for Silva as the middle man in the 3 (just like he was primed to do under Conte).

I'd also add Jorginho. I understand he's a very marmite player but he's important for Tuchel's system, being able to control the game and whilst Tuchel is here, he won't be going. Take his mistake out from the other night and his form in the second half of this season has been very good. Similar to Christensen he's very suited to a back 3 system also where he has added protection behind him. I think we would benefit more long term if Gilmour went out on loan for a season or two before coming back and replacing Jorginho. We should be more concerned trying to find someone who can rotate with Kante and offer his role in the midfield.

some of my 66 will no doubt stay on the main team

I cannot take Jorginho anymore

he is a nightmare far too often

Where are those players though? The players listed above have been amongst the best of their generation. They're few and far between.

Realistically you have Kane and Haaland at present, debateable to include Lukaku too and then after that it's really a punt on someone far less proven.

Break the bank for Lukaku. We have no choice. Besides, Inter has financial problems.

Remember this game?

Chelsea was having problems with WBA defense. We're strulling and a equalize is written but look what happened. This is what top strikes can do. Win games from nowhere.

Which reports? I still doubt Brentford would sell Toney for £30m, considering he has better stats than Watkins at there.

Just this:

I think it would be incredibly unwise to go into next season without a recgonisable ST

Several journo’s I follow who cover Spuds say that Kane really wants to leave. Again.

Also state the obvious that Levy will aggressively fight any sale. But I wonder if he really kicked up a fuss he’d be able to force his way out. Maybe we should at least try. If Haaland is a no go there’s nobody else that isn’t a major gamble. And we can’t afford yet another punt who we hope is great but flops.

Levy has to know that they’re going nowhere in terms of title challenges. He’s given them more than they could’ve hoped for and is in the prime of his career. If he’s desperate to leave and hands in a transfer request I wonder what the price would be. Would likely only be City and ourselves as serious suitors with United going after Sancho.

£90m for a player we would only get one full sub 30 year old season out off it so risky.

Plus, Lukaku is a huge-framed player, and so reliant on burst and pace. With that huge weight he lugs around, he likely slows down come 31, 32yo max, and he is not a guile-based, pure instinctive scorer like Lewa, Suarez, Raul, Benzema, Zlatan. Drogba, etc

I rate him, a lot, I just wish he was 3 years younger or so.

I am reading that Kane wants to leave before the EURO. So this should be quick. Give them the cash and Abraham!

Kane up front and we are title challengers finally.

I approve of this, BUT would he come to his 2nd most hated (after Arse) rivals?

Plus we DAMN well better have CL for him, or Lukaku, or the 1 in 100 chance , Håland.

for £90m? I do not know, as at the end of the 4 years, he is 32/33 for  the next season, so very little resale value.

Also, he has yet to prove he is a top flight EPL superstar. He was not that at Manure or Everton, he was a flat track bully. He only had 15 goals, all comps, in 45 games his last year at Manure, only 12 EPL goals.

He may ask Sol Campbel for a piece of advice lol, to find out if it was worthy. I am sure I know the answer.

I am dead serious, if Kane ends up here, I will be over the bloody moon. I sooo want him here.

I would kill for a 25yo Sol Campbell here, lolol.

I would take Kane over Lukaku in a heartbeat.

closing in on 300 goals for clubs and country at 27 years of age and a shedload of assists

I rate best strikers in the world atm (not long term for some)

would be number 2, IF he was a pure CF

1 Lewa

2 Mbappe

3 Håland

4 Kane

5 Benzema

6 CR7 (if you count him as a CF)

7 Lukaku

8 Lautaro Marinez

9 Ciro Immobile

10 Luis Suárez (last year in top ten)
