That's the only way i see a loan happening.  PSG just simply have his wages off the books, plus a small fee.  And he goes to Atletico in the summer.

So technically its a loan, but in reality you're buying him for £5m on a 6 month contract

That twitter is giving the wrong info. According to Telegraph and Times its a 18 month loan.

There is no such thing as 18 month loan, his contract is up in the summer, we either sign him or loan him for 6 months.

Indeed. I edited the post. Thats not a good deal. No player is motivated enough if he is staying in club for only 3 and half months of football (the season is over in mid may).

Thats Chels for you....no insight and foresight and planning ahead does not exist. I so look forward what we will conjure up come summer.

Is it just me who thinks although Atletico are faves in the press, they will not be paying him 360k a week?!

I am torn on how reliable the news is from The Times, but thinking about it the 6 month loan before going to Atletico in June could be a good idea.  Provided we cover his wages because PSG still recoup £12m in total. The loan fee; plus the wages they'd have paid Cavani, now stay in the bank.  And it's near enough what theyre asking, depending which media you read

But PSG doesn't give a shit how much Cavani is going to earn in the next club. If they rejected €10m from Atletico what makes you think they will accept £5m from us?

He's off their books either way.

Also about salaries Oblak is over 400k per week. Costa, Koke over 300k, Felix 280k...

Cavani will decide in the end.

No idea.  Its why i thought the loan offer was ridiculous at first

Err...if Giroud sticks around, does that mean we won't sign any striker!?

We don't even need to get a striker to get past this period just Lampard needs to drop the bullshit and give Giroud a run out, he is more than good enough still.

Great goal by Telles tonight! He is so cheap, why are we not after him?!

SIGN HIM!

it is madness if we do not and I think we might be able to get him for a wee bit under 30m quid, as Porto supposedly said they were a little flexible

but even £33m is not bad
