Speaking of Liverpool, have been seeing a lot of pieces saying they should sell Salah, Mane etc to rebuild their squad but no one seem to be asking 'Who the F out there has the money to buy them?' and/or 'Who the F wants to buy 29-year-old players with no resale value at this point?' at a time when the craze is surrounding Mbappe and Haaland. Unless their owners are willing to throw money in, which has not been their business model, they're probably fucked with rebuilding their squad.

Yeah I have seen so called pool pundits scream this shit out for weeks now, who will buy them 29 year olds for such fees that will guarantee them a rebuild? Daft cunts I swear.

The other thing is I dont think he can motivate them now theyve won everything. We had the same problem with some.

Managers now have it difficult - I'm old enough to remember Busby, Shankly, Ferguson even our own Sexton. who could shout and ball at players on and off the pitch -fuck they even controlled some of the players contracts. Now a manger/coach has to cajole and motivate multi millionaires with guile and kid gloves -if he can get them to get off twitter

Much as I hate the dippers they need to rebuild again, and not put all the blame on Van Dyck being absent. But fuck 'em basically

Indeed. Problem is everyone still thinks Barca and Real have money, when they do not. Further, players like Mane and Salah have a peak of 23-29, maybe 30-31 if they're lucky. Only AM's that have ever gone for top dollar at 29+ were the technical ones who didn't rely on pace.

No way do those feckers get brought for serious $$$ unless someone is hitting the crack pipe.

It's literally a similar situation with us with the old guard, got too comfortable with their core of stars and while it was okay in the short term a stagnation was going to happen eventually.

Jota is the only signing they've made with a view to a long term replacement, Thiago was an attempt to squeeze one last season of success out of them.
