Kai Havertz

The Bundesliga season starts 1 month from today and the PL even sooner. You would think there would be some urgency from all parties to get this done ASAP. Bayer so they can have time to get replacements and us so we can hit the ground running in what will be a ridiculously quick turnaround from last season.

If we leave it until Havertz is already back there training with Bayer I think there's no chance they sell him.

Folks,  just chill.

Havertz will be a Chelsea Player by the close of the Window, it's a done deal without being a done deal.

It might be done tomorrow or it might be done at the 11th hour but He isn't staying at Bayer and He isn't joing any other Club.

It's done & dusted 100%.

I know folks want it done a.s.a.p but these monster deals take time and nobody wants to blink first.

When the terms of the payment are agreed it'll be announced but in the mean time relax.

The Season has barely ended for Chelsea.. Calm Down!! Lol

But the transfer window only closes in October. Ideally, everyone would want to get their transfer business done fast and early (GET MOVING MARINA, FFS!) but players moving clubs while the league has started and the transfer window is not closed is nothing new. We have seen such cases in the past.

If Leverkusen don't sell him this summer, then good luck to them because they risk keeping an unhappy player and potentially, getting less money next year.

Holding onto Kai for one more season makes some sense for Bayer in a Footballing sense as He could, if motivated, be the difference in them qualifying for the Champions League.

However there are no guarantees that a Player who clearly wants out will be in the right frame of mind to give His all.

This leaves BL with a player who will go for significantly less than what Chelsea are prepared to pay even with a so called bidding war.

There will almost certainly be more interested Clubs next season which would be bad for Chelsea but it won't result in more money for Bayer just more options for Havertz.

Bayer are still left without their biggest asset and with less money to show for it.

He's Ours, stop panicking.

Him staying there for another season is the worst case scenario by far for Leverkusen, surely. Player may not be happy and motivated becasue by all accounts (and even according to their director himself) he feels like he has outgrown the club. They lose out on huge money that they'll likely only get this summer. And then worst of all Havertz will inevitably move to Bayern for a small fee and haunt them domestically for 10 years or more.

Mind sharing the link?

I'm just going off of Sports witness. Their report is from BLID, to which you can't fully view the article without a subscription. I had a subscription a couple months ago but didn't renew unfortunately.

Below is what is reported in Bild, via Sports Witness...

http://sportwitness.co.uk/chelsea-will-try-reach-agreement-club-players-signing-10-days-blues-pole-position/

Bayern Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro admitted last week that Kai Havertz has expressed his desire to leave the club this summer.

Multiple reports coming out of Germany have been covering Chelsea interest in the 21-year-old.

According to Bild, those in charge at Leverkusen expect the west London club to promptly ‘submit a written offer’ for the attacking midfielder.

The outlet has carried an analysis, explaining why the Blues must ‘buy’ the Germany international as soon as possible.

It’s claimed Frank Lampard’s side will have a ‘unique chance’ to sign the player only in this transfer window.

As of now, Chelsea are in ‘pole position’ because the likes of Real Madrid or Bayern Munich can’t invest €100m on a new signing. The latter two would be back for Havertz, if he’s at Bayer until next summer.

Bayer Leverkusen return for preseason training on August 28th and the report states the two clubs ‘will try to reach an agreement’ for Havertz before they start their preparation for the new campaign.

WHat the fuck have we been doing since terms were agreed with the player? No bid yet at all? This will be a Sancho if we dont soon move that ass.

This is what I'm wondering most of all. Highly reputable people described in detail how Frank chatted with him about his role in the team and how personal terms AND contract talks were agreed like a month ago.

So wtf has been going on since then? Haggling over a few million?  If it's true that the club view him as a generation talent too good to pass up (like Matt Law said a few days ago) then we should have signed him up by now.

At this point I'll be more relieved than excited if this happens. Getting annoying.
