Owners wanted Gallagher out since January of last year despite 2 managers constantly playing him.

I don't believe that rumor.

If the offer was high enough for Gallagher, he probably wouldn't be here either.

Didn't they accept Everton's offer Jan of last year and Gallagher refused?

Has worked out for us. Nearly went for £32m in Summer, now we have £2m loan fee and a £35m transfer that is highly likely.

Tbh, he has played well for Dortmund but if the fee was £45m I don't think there would be many takers. The really annoying thing with him is that Poch in the early part of the season should've had us set up in a 343 as he could've played a WB role. How Poch didn't see that is what winds me up about him. Although, tbf, I do think IM may have been black balled to some extent due to the club wanting the FFP money.

BVB are apparently unable or rather unwilling to pay the 40m euros RC. Instead they want to lowball us. Should not budge but it is the players wish to stay there. I know what Marina would have done …

We will accept a lower bid just to get cash for him. But yeah knew they would lowball us.

It’s stupid tho. The player is supposedly useful and surely should find someone who pays up. Pretty sure BVB would eventually cough up the money anyway  if we insist on it but clownlake is clueless

Its pure profit regardless so if it’s 20-25m euros I’d think we will take it. I don’t think hes particularly excelled over in Germany either (despite the usual player X goes on loan, has 2 or 3 good games and everyone complains “why didn’t he get used here!?”) so they have probably got the advantage knowing we already tried offloading him in the summer.

I think we will either get the £35m or close to it. If BVB don't pay it there will be a couple of PL clubs who would be happy to take him on considering his HG status and relatively low wages.

First we should find out who will be our manager, don't we? Chillwell, Cucurella and Maatsen are very different type of left backs, and we can make income on the other two too.

Also, if Kompany joins Bayern - where Fonzie is likely to leave - it can be obvious choice aswell.

The club won't care. Maatsen will be gone due to FFP capital he creates. If they decide to get a new LB the only question then would be Chilwell v Cucu.

This is the same with Gallagher and Trev, and those two are two of our better players.

It’s crazy because I believe all 3 could be very useful in our new system but we spent so much in average players and haven’t back that by hitting top 4 that we now have to sell them.

But that's the point.. Cucu and Chilwell would be also easy to sell if we want to raise funds.

However it's intresting you announce it like it was an objective fact, not a speculation.
