I just saw his post match interview, what is he thinking? Reporter asks " so was this the response you wanted after the Ars game " Lamps says I couldnt ask for more from my players? WTF are you mental Lamps? Has your standard fallen so much? Sorry thats not good enough by half.

To be fair, he slaughtered our players 2 days ago and after zero training, we were definitely better than against Arsenal, even though it was not much better. If he started to slaughter our players again, he would lose the dressing room. He knows most of his players are tired and low on confidence. Does not need to make it worse

Just come out and say it like it is, sure we were a bit better but considering how trashy we were vs Ars then its not much consolation. It was not the response required at all. Every team are tired Killer, yet they put in the shift.

There is a difference because we played on saturday and then on monday. This is insane and this means zero time for real preparation.

And I also think Lampard needs the dressing room behind him. Slaughtering everyone like Mourinho does will only give a toxic environment to the team. Lampard knows that he can't afford to lose the dressing room. This was also a mixed team. AC, Toni, CHO, Giroud and Azpi are non starters for instance.

It was not the response we needed, but Lampard destroying the players in front of the media again against an in form Villa is not the way to go bro

Given that City and Morecambe will be likely suspended, I'd be telling Lampard that against Fulham, Leicester, Wolves, and Burnley, his points total should be at the minimum 10. Failure to get 10 points, I'd sack him.

If we are going to sack Lampard, now might be the perfect to do it because if those 2 games get postponed, then whoever comes in will have 17 days (IIRC) to work with the players until our trip to Fulham. Otherwise, he won't have many days at all to work with the players.

But who though? Who's available?

Do we go interim or take the risk on Tuchel, who I admit is a bit of a gamble but I reckon he could work wonders with this current team.

Honestly, I have no freaking clue anymore. 

Tuchel looks suitable because of his style of play but am not convinced at all due to his character and his tactical decisions.

Allegri is fine by me, if only because he is tactically savvy and doesn't seem like a combustible character or close it, but don't think his style of play is suited to this team.

Would be okay with Pochettino because he does seem to tick all the boxes but he's going to PSG.

Otherwise, all the choices like Nagelsmann and Hasenhuttl are at a club right now and I don't think they will leave midway through the season.

Never mind the results, Lampard is really making it tough to feel even confident that he will turn things around given he doesn't seem to have a clue of how to utilize the players properly and he is making us play like an expensive version of Burnley.

You can prepare in advance, I dont see why Zouma couldnt play, Kova the same. Yes he cant demoralise the team I agree, but he doesnt have to sugarcoat it either.

On the flip side, it could be Lampard's saving grace having a couple of weeks to properly work on the tactical aspect of this team. I think it is easy to just throw up that £200m was spent this summer and all the players should be able to perform and gel immediately. The lack of pre season this summer gone has probably hurt us more than most due to the high turnover of players. Not having that pre season, and then having little time to work tactically on the team due to playing pretty much solidly 3 times a week since the start of the season makes things far more difficult. 

Assuming the City and Morecambe games are off now, Lampard has the opportunity to not just turn this season around but start stamping a more long term blueprint on this side. If the results and performances don't pick up following that, then his position could be reaching untenable levels.
