ZanSnake 1,211
It is really hard to say 'sell him' when he is starting to play perfect again!Damn you didi!
TomCFC 357
I think he'll stay for at least one more season on recent form. I suppose it depends on Torres as well.
magic weeds 446
Drogba will stay, but won't be the focal point. Torres is going to take over. Drogba will be used sparingly. plus there is the African Cup of Nations to come etc. Anelka is the one destined to go, no matter what

Even though am praying the Yids get 4th place. I cant stand what shitty will be saying if they qualify. plus they will get any player they want. Better have 3 London clubs in CL. just a lil off topic
BlueLion. 21,491
Out of the respect he has for the club and for the fans, I could only ever see him leave for Madrid (and Mourinho) or for Marseilles.
Rambo 1,729
Didier Drogba is set to stay at Chelsea after holding crunch talks with Blues bosses. The Ivory Coast striker is thought to have been unsettled by the £50million signing of Fernando Torres in January, with the Spanish star often picked ahead of him.Drogba is now 33 and has another year left on his contract, and his agent, Thierno Seydi, met with chief executive Ron Gourlay to see if he is still wanted next season.Seydi insists Drogba is not seeking a summer switch and is confident his client will remain at Stamford Bridge for an eighth year."A lot was said over a possible departure of Didier Drogba," Seydi said."That is not the order of the day."He stays at this club, which he knows very well."My link

BlueLion. 21,491
Sturridge should be loaned out for a full season anyway, I reckon. Nothing wrong with a Chelsea legend seeing out the last year of his contract.

LDN Blue 7,903
I reckon Sturridge would hate going on loan, he might end up leaving if we send him off again..
Madmax 9,219
If Drogba wants to stay, he has to accept a role on the bench. Torres-Sturridge is Chelsea's future.

Tortilla9 390
One question: the quotes are from his agent, any Chelsea comments/quotes?
Madmax 9,219
Been thinking about this ahead of Tottenham, and I've got to say, I think Carlo's handled Drogba very well. We know Didi's got a bit of ego about him and Carlo's channeled it perfectly. Maybe he doesn't perform to what he can when he's starting all the time regardless of what he actually does on the pitch, so letting him simmer on the bench for a while in big games has proved to be the correct motivation he needed to get him firing again, and now there's no stopping him. Becoming unplayable again, like he is when in the mood.
