Leroi 0
I know tht the right thing to do is to leave on a high. But it certainly feels sad!! Knowing that Didier is on the team, always reassure u tht magic can and will happen especially in big games. However, now with his departure, who are we to depend upon for tht magic when we need one real bad. Thank you monsieur Drogba for all tht u have done for the club. Blue Armour 4,439
I hope Didier, and when the time comes, JT and Frank, return to the club in some form or the other to take it on its next adventure...If those three ever decided to form a management team, it would be unstoppable. lecter

Thank you for everything Didier & good luck in the future. His last touch for Chelsea was the most important in our history.Didier Drogba la la la la Didier Drogba la la la la LEGEND! zolayes 14,489
We had one of best teams in europe, Cole, Drogba, Lamps, Terry and Essien were all potential best XI players of EU. Now with Carvalho, Ballack, J.Cole, Anelka, Alex gone, Malouda, Drogba, Essien could leave too. I am just sad to watch all these players go after all those moments. Now we need new best players.Hazard is a must now...Cech, Terry, Lampard, Drogba...great men, who can replace them? Nobody! They are unique and will never be replaced. Legends...KTF Cech still has 5 good years ,,,, Cahill Luiz Mata Lukaku Kakuta KDB Marin ,Ivanovic Mikel....thats for starters

Kez 2,727
I've never been so upset about a player leaving (except for Zola of course) but this one has so much more emotion to it after the CL win.
osgoodisgod 150
He'll be missed that's for sure. So have many many more before and we have managed. He has been an excellent servant for us most of the time and he has been rewarded so. All good things come to an end and it's probably the right time for him to go all round. When you've got 42 years as a fan under your belt you get used to greats comig and going. I relise many here wil not really have known a Chelsea without Drogba, but trust me we will be fine. osgoodisgod 150
I said in another post that we will be fine. Other great players have come and gone. He has been rewarded well for largely excellent service - that's the deal. I've supported this club for over 40 years and I know many will barely know the club without Drogba but we will manage. I don't think a stand being named after him is appropriate or any other special recognition. He has the love of the Chelsea fans and he knows that. We can't go retiring numbers or naming stands after every great player we have or have had.He was unlayable and unstoppable at times but if it's right for him and us to part then so be it - cheers big man, now who's next. Personally I don't agree with clubs building statues of living players, let alone ones that are still playing (i'm looking at you Arsenal). He is a legend of the club, we don't need to name things after him for him to be recognised as one.
