capriccioso 2,545
If he goes to the MLS, perhaps we can do what AC Milan did with David Beckham and get him on loan for those cup finals and important last 3-4 months of the season. One can always hope, I suppose. I hope he does link up with the club again one day, in any capacity. Even as a part time scout. Didier gary gordon

Fulham Broadway 17,332
Mourinho once said ''judge him when hes gone''9 finals. 9 goals. 157 goals. 71 assists. 338 appearances. Drogba contributed a goal every other game he played for the club.3 Premier Leagues. 4 FA Cups. 2 League Cups. 1 European Cup. 2 Community Shields. The King of Wembley. 10 (12) trophies in 8 years.Drogba has absolutely redefined what it means to be a centre forward. He has played against and scored against every top side he has ever faced and defenders of Jamie Carragher’s quality have labelled him “unplayable”:''If Chelsea get the ball on to Drogba’s chest on the edge of the box and he can bring it down and turn, well, that’s it. You can’t get round him without fouling him, it’s too late to get in front of him, you just have to hope he misses the shot.''just heard an interview with him and he when asked his Five most emotional moments at CFC1} When he signed2) The win at Bolton3)When Jose left4)Double under Carlo5) Champions League Finaland his biggest negative moment ? Ollie 4,400
And even in Moscow he smashed the post with an amazing effort in Extra Time. What a player and what a man, the best striker in our history. i can't thank him enough for what he's done for us. He's won us everything and he's ruined Arsenal so many times and what a way to say goodbye with the penalty to win the UCL. A true legend and definitely the right time to move on. Now time for us to build a new team around Torres. Bye Dids. Gone, but never forgotten.

capriccioso 2,545
Just watched a couple of youtube tributes again. I'm crying harder than I was last night Please Didier, return one day, even if just to cut the grass. Also, nice interview with Albert Drogba, Didier's dad:http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2012/05/23/3121396/albert-drogba-the-time-was-ripe-for-my-son-to-leave-chelsea
capriccioso 2,545
Wonder if Mourinho would go for him.Nah. He's leaving us for first team football, he'll be behind Benzema and possibly Higuain at Real Madrid.Sorry to go off topic, but if he doesn't get 'Legend' status on FM13 I'll riot. capriccioso 2,545
I can't comprehend why he's going to China/AFC in general when he still has unfinished business with Cote d'Ivoire. He needs to win an AFCON with them to be recognised as Africa's greatest player, IMO. He will also be loathe to be regarded in his country as a guy that flopped for nation but excelled at club. Leif 6,006
Would Drogba get into anyone's all-time Chelsea XI ahead Bobby Tambling now?He would for me... which is a little hard to say.I understand what Tambling did for the club and how many goals he scored, but obviously I've seen much more of Drogba, being one of the 'younger' guys on here, and now that he has won the Champions League with us I guess he edges it.(Now it's time to be sneaky and slip in my updated all-time XI here) Bonetti Harris LeBoeuf Terry Le Saux Makelele Lampard Zola Mata J.Cole DrogbaCan't believe Mata's already in it too!I'm finding it hard to leave out Tambling though, so I guess a "B" team is in order :- Cech Ivanovic Carvalho Desailly Cole Wise Di Matteo Deco Duff Osgood Tambling

Rem.'s 9
"My blood is blueIt has been reported that Drogba's next move will take him to China to link up with former Blues team-mate Nicolas Anelka at Shanghai Shenhua. He would not confirm that, but did say that should Chelsea ever need him once his playing days are over, he will always be happy to answer their call."I would love to help Chelsea in any way, even if they tell me to come and cut the grass. I will do it," he said."Being here for eight years, it will be a big change. Players will go, some stay, but the club will remain as ambitious as it has always been. I am not worried. Chelsea was there before I came and always will be."It's impossible to forget this moment. Leaving Chelsea in any case would be difficult, but now even more. It is impossible, Chelsea is in my heart. My blood is blue and my heart even more so."Incredible player and man. Chelsea Legend !
