Sarri mentioned recently that he does have 4-2-3-1 in his mind and since 4-3-3 isn't working, why not try the former? 

And no, 4-2-3-1 may well give the team a better balance because you have two fellas screening the defence and gives the full backs a better platform to go forward. You saw the game on Wednesday? Only 3 players stayed back while everyone was caught high up the pitch when Bournemouth broke. Kante can't or won't be getting forward as much because otherwise, we'll just end up with another Matic-Fabregas situation.

It's kinda ironic, isn't it? The board got Sarri in to change our style moving forward but the manager himself isn't quite in-tuned with the board's long term plan on the players.

But again with 4231, your going to lose movement off the ball which Kante provides. Its not a huge difference, two screens yes but Luiz at CB and Alonso or Emerson at LB is still pretty suspect. Plus Sarris attacking instincts Kante will still be asked to push up and make options because he cannot affect a game from a deeper position in an offensive way. It will be interesting to see if he would change it but I wouldn't expect anything hugely different. Fullbacks maybe have more cover yes but again, will it affect our attacking play? Defensively weve been poor recently too and I get thst but Sarri is a purist, he would rather win 5-4 playing in that way than grind out a 1-0. The Man City game was maybe an exception at times but they pressed us so well.

He played well when he does get a chance as well! 

This month.. FA Cup round.. Europa round and Carling Cup final... Be nice if we can end it well. Not out of everything and in 6th. Huge games coming up everywhere

If Kante is still gonna push forward in a 4-2-3-1, then why even bother playing that? If Sarri can't make tactical alterations, can't make players work in a system - which is already proving to be the case - then he definitely won't be here for long. Digging his own grave.

Exactly. Sarri has clearly challenged Kante to be much more adventourous this season, to have more involvements offensively as well as recover the ball higher up the pitch, like the rest of the team. He still offers everything else, I dont buy this he is a DM only because hes never actually played as one here bar 4 games under Conte before he went to 343 and didnt at Leicester. His best games have always been in a MF 2 or MF 3. Kante and Jorginho are nailed on to start most matches regardless of form because Kante is a world class player and Jorginho is essential to how we play , its the LCM position that is a huge issue and even if we played with a 10 still Barkley is the most natural fit for that role and is infuriating at times along with the lack movement infront off him. Jorginhos struggle isnt just completely down to him, he is man marked most matches and the other MF players dont take the responsibility to take the baton and demand the ball as he does. Even when he gets time where are the options he had at Napoli for instance? Everyones coming short, nobody is willing to move off the ball to create the opportunity for a longer pass. Nobody making selfless runs like Callejon or Hamsik would or a regular basis. Fair enough hes also had poor games but he is a key component and I would hate to see how good he would be for City because they have a bit of everything, quick combination play, plenty of MF players who are willing to take responsibility, wide players who make excellent movements without the ball.

Sarri could play 2 strikers when we are chasing a game yes but we need plan A tp be effective if he is to have any future here. If it means being stubborn and having to build the squad again then so be it. When you appoint a guy like Sarri or a Pep or a whoever who are one method managers who play their way or nothing then you have to buy into it.

Even after 5-0 win I am not happy. Our pressing was really good in the 1st half but we expose our back line too much. Against a better team we will concede on the break.

It is crazy if he said he is not happy after winning 5-0 but what he said is true. Our pressing was fantastic in the first 30 minutes. Our defense I thought was also quite good but we make some silly passing and decision that exposed our defense too much. Playing this football we will get countered, but it was too much for my liking in the 1st half. 2nd half I thought our defense is not as exposed but our pressing intensity dropped maybe due to fatigue.

This. Just watch how relentless our pressing and how we keep moving. It was kinda watching pool play, we look like scoring whenever we go forward.
