LDN Blue 7,903
Two thoughts on Hudson-Odoi; 1. If he's not signing a new contract then Sarri owes the kid nothing lmao. People keep going on that we have to convince him to sign, the kid is fucking 19, If he doesn't want to be here then why should we pander? Acting like every English kid is going to be the next Jadon Sancho. 2. With all that being said, the fact he isn't deemed enough to play over Willian or Pedro even as the first choice sub is beyond comprehension. Sarri took this 'use 14 players' to heart. Hell even Pep used 17 this season alone! Unionjack and OneMoSalah

communicate 2,703
"the club has to decide because if I'm the club and I want Callum on the pitch with consistency, I have to sell another winger." This is imo the key quote from Sarri interview. We have 4 winger, one of the is Hazard who basically will play all the time when he is fit and needed. I have said countless of times, you cannot play youth simply because he is youth otherwise you will lose your credibility as manager. mccg 1,528
Chelsea must make Callum Hudson-Odoi only choice if they want him to play, says Maurizio Sarri https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/11644401/sarri-hudson-odoi-starts-if-winger-sold Think we need 4 wingers a season playing in this formation(2 over 30 to boot), and you wonder why we have been struggling for goals this season! add 2 strikers over 30 ...E = mc2 Hello already bought (Christian) Pulisic
Unionjack 7,531
He was very in / out last night which is what you expect from a kid playing in the big time, He was missing up front when some of the breaks were on. Willian/Wee Baldy Man,Giroo up front and CHO was back behind the 1/2 way line. But he took the goal really well. He isn't ready to be a full time starter but he certainly deserves more playing time. With this ban I can see us giving Willian,PedromLuiz another year and if they end up pressurizing the club they might even get longer! Its our own fault. Time to pay the piper. I disagree completely. If we want CHO to play we need to sell both Willian and Pedro unless Hazard also leave. Yes both, next year pulisic is also here (I think Sarri forget) . Then have the 4th winger to be youth player.
BlueLyon 9,359
Whatever this board is going to do, you just kno they will fuck up. Either we will sell him and he will develop in quality player, or we will keep him and bench him until he is too old. manpe and Dazzy_Vance

You disagree that I can see our board using the ban to extend the 30+ contracts? I am all for us selling Willian and Pedro but I still think we need to bring in another LW OR RW even with Pully coming in. Unfortunately we really don't know how Pully will get on in the PL. He isn't the strongest built lad out there. But we forever live in hope as he does show promise. Ive said before I am all for giving CHO more playing time but we shouldn't be playing him just because he is CHO. Even if wee sell Willian/Pedro Eden might leave and we should be putting that money into filling his boots. So that will mean we need 2 LW/RW ers So he will still be backup any way you look at it so he will still be unhappy and impatient.

We sign puli for 60m, so he has to be part of our rotation. If the club and Sarri think he is ready. It is better to have CHO as 3rd winger and either keep whoever between Pedro and Willian as our 4th winger or if both prefer to play more. Bring somebody from loan. Vesper 30,185
“I’m never nervous” – Callum Hudson-Odoi serves reminder to Maurizio Sarri that he is always ready to play https://www.chelsea-news.co/2019/03/im-never-nervous-callum-hudson-odoi-serves-reminder-maurizio-sarri-always-ready-play/ If life in football is all about picking the right moments to shine then Callum Hudson-Odoi has chosen a good path and his ability to wait for his chances has been perfect. Hudson-Odoi has displayed the perfect characteristics in his seemingly anxious waiting period. It has been long, especially for an 18-year old, but he has behaved himself. The offers from Bayern Munich did not fool him into showing a dark side to the club that has nurtured him all through his youthful days. Chelsea are refusing to sell him to the Bavarians who are promising him lots of first-team minutes and of course more money. But Hudson-Odoi has kept his head down. Although Maurizio Sarri is yet to give him extended time on the pitch among the highly paid stars at Stamford Bridge, Hudson-Odoi has not sulked or looked out place when given the rare chance. snip
Dazzy_Vance 454
First I’ve heard they’re (Bayern) offering more money. Shouldn’t we be offering him more to tempt him to stay? We make some strange decisions.

Laylabelle 9,535
I just dont get why there was such a song and dance about him staying and then playing him less. He'll be gone in summer and all been a bit pointless. Shown he can perform mostly if giving a chance so why not. We're hardly getting amazing results anyway.
