Since when do we give a fuck about what club officials say about the state of transfers. They're even less reliable in that regard than the english media.

Well, maybe about the same level of bullshit.

Within the space of an afternoon I've gone from surprised if it doesn't happen to surprised if it does. Our club are pathetic in the transfer market these days.

my confidence has dropped slightly after what Monchi said.

Need some solid news one way or the other by end of the week IMO.

What is the point really?

Out of the League Cup, soon to be out of Champions League, too. The FA Cup? Give me a break, a back-up centre forward and a back-up left back is not going to change anything, two back-up players are not suddenly going to change everything and inspire Chelsea to an FA Cup win. Our problems root deeper than that.

All that is left is a top 4 finish. Think Morata and Batshuayi are enough for one competition only. Kenedy's loan looks so damn stupid now.

Emerson + Dzeko - It is 50M down the drain at this point if you ask me. And surely it's going to affect our summer spending, too, judging by Chelsea's transfer policy these days.

Conte of course has reason to be frustrated but the idea he is not having any input into transfers is hard to believe - zappacosta, Morata, Alonso, rudiger, and now palmieri and dzeko all players he would know a lot about. Carroll was also his suggestion

Dzeko and Palmieri are definite Conte choices.  I suspect he is having digs about Drinkwater, Barkley etc.

This is not news though, we have known for weeks the club gets Conte's opinion and makes their own decisions based on that. I just think he should chill out with his outbursts

Looking forward to seeing Batshuayi for the rest of the season...

I just don't understand the massive discrepancy between his performances from one match to another. Like, I realize Arsenal are different to Brighton, but he actually could control a fucking football last weekend. He looked like a 16 year old academy debutant when he came on today. How does he go from looking pretty good to awful in the space of a couple of days?

This is why he desperately needs a loan and also a perfect example of why you don't spend big money on a foreign striker who's coming off of one good season. A move to Chelsea was clearly too soon for him. He's too raw. Needs a good 12 months playing every week at a decent level.
