!Hazard! 3,394
So he doesn't fit the formation and is the complete opposite of what Conte wants of his players. How about we close this thread for now

Sideshow Luiz 2,310
I really can't see this one. Drinkwater is more likely than this and I think that's total nonsense (wishful thinking?).

I'd prefer OX not going to lie, it's his 50 mil price tag that puts me off most , if we could get him for 25-30 I'd be happy with that tbh. Last Sicarius 610
Chelsea emerge as serious contenders to take Ross Barkley from Everton http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/everton-transfer-news-ross-barkley-13417842 I hope we get Barkley/Sanches, Ox/Candreva and some young guy on LB/LWB. RoyalBlues 4,050
He is 23 and English, not sure why some against this signing, when we're need to fill HG players quota anyway.
Artandur 939
Where and when and why would he play for us.

Just the price that puts me off mate 50m just seems extreme don't cha think?

For sure it could go far less than that amount. The player want the move. We could wait until deadline day, for a knocked down price in last minutes if needed. Chelsea4 1,521
I actually like Barkley and he can do a lot better. He could fit the system a bit of the ball work will be needed but it shouldn't be a big issue and needs to be more consistent + he is also only 23 years old. Special Juan 28,141
Give them Kenedy and cash.
termninja 5,290
I always liked watching Barkley when we played Everton, nice player. We're not really a place for him, but I won't object if we sign him. I just hope it's not a monstrous fee.
Fernando 6,585
Yes we need English players for the homegrown quota.
Duppy Conqueror 1,536
Bags of skill, untapped potential,English (every team should have players from the country the club plays in regardless of HG quota but it helps that too) he hasn`t been a Kante/Ramires grass covering machine. but he will cover more grass than Fabregas and he obviously has become disheartened with being at a club where finishing 7th is classed as a good season. Conte likes players to "put in a shift" but he`s not Jose kind of maniac about that. he can be shaped into what we want and when Cesc is not playing atleast have some creativity from CM/AM..not yet a passer on Cesc`s level, may never be but can still offer a lot creatively and score himself. Pizy 18,909
As with Renato Sanches, I think the club would gladly take him but I'm not sure either player would agree to join us because they'd be in rotational roles. Barkley in particular can just stay at Everton and play the majority of their games. He'd probably be competing directly with Cesc for his spot here. Duppy Conqueror 1,536
we should concern ourselves on what our club wants/needs not the welfare of players who haven`t joined us yet really. but very few players are guaranteed to be regular starters at the biggest clubs.plenty still join them willing to put up a fight for a place in the starting 11 as much as often at a club that challenges on all fronts instead of staying at clubs who at best can offer with realistic ambition a runners up medal in a domestic cup. there is going to a lot more rotation this season than last and for future seasons aswell. it`s a toss up who would play the fewest games Barkley or Costa if they stayed at their current clubs so I`d say no he won`t play more there..:)
lucashm 340
A midfield of Bakatoko Kante Barkley and Fabregas would be excelent IMO
