Thor 2,717
In a season where we have been collectively terrible, I'm willing to give him a pass.Β For as bad as he has been, the first couple of games he had with us, he did show some signs of brilliance. When he gets the ball and carries it out, taking on players, he looks like an unstoppable force.Β His middle game is just horrible though. As far as being a physical beast goes, he excels, but passing, decision making, and general field awareness is fairly terrible at the moment.Β Β If we get an offer, I wouldn't be opposed to letting him go, but at the same time I wouldn't mind if he stays. He needs another chance IMO. First season, and extremely young. If Monaco want him, and we get Fabinho instead... perfect.Β

If next year he still play like this then either send him on loan or just off load him Fernando

We always get overrun against the bigger teams.Β Kante is a beast, but he isn't that 6 foot+ brick wall. He is a bulldog. Baka is most definitely that 6 foot wall, and he clearly has skills and the physicality, but he simply didn't put his brain and skills together this season.Β Fernando

Β Β Hes going to make a career out of being a box to box midfielder (whether its here or not who knows?). He lacks the necessary discipline to play as a 6 I thinkΒ which is evident to see since the turn of the year when he has played but he showed against United when we beat them in the first match that he could be a good box to box player. Unionjack 7,531
When we first signed him I thought it was a great buy. But then after seeing his early games I wondered if the Chelsea curse had got him. But I thought I'd keep an open mind on him and the lads had some good spells tho no continuity. On paper hes a great partner for our wee baldy man and he has shown us he knows where the goal is and helps others to score. As a B2B I cant see him as our new Lamps but I am open to the idea of seeing how he goes next season. And as it looks like Conte has full faith in him hes got to have something in him. And he did get some praise from him in the after game interview. Along with Pedro and Morata.

robsblubot 3,595
you guys need to interpret "club talk"Β Translation, "we want to sell both, otherwise we wouldn't be talkingΒ about them. However, we don't want to sell at a discount price, so if you want them, and can pay full ask, we'd definitely sell either to you."Β Bakayoko cannot play for chelsea. If he does, in such an important position, we cannot compete against the other top clubs. He's just not good enough skill wise to play at this level. It's sad and we've spent a lot on him, but it's not going to change. If he doesn't start and sits on the bench for another season, his value will only decrease, which doesn'tΒ make sense either. So, while I agree thatΒ it all depends on the new manager, the club better try to move him either way. Honestly, RLC should be way ahead of Bakayoko on skill alone. BTW, Morata and Bakayoko aren't comparable IMO (for obvious reasons). DYC.
DDA 9,941
Is Bakayoko really any better than Josh McEachran? Ramires? Oscar? Mikel? Chalobah? RCL? Let alone KDB? Mata?Β Matic? He is a donkey, heΒ cant pass under pressure, cant shoot, gives away plenty of fouls and on top of that heΒ gives the ball away more than the times he gives fouls away... if we canΒ get rid of him for reasonable fee then do it. We need to signΒ a proper top of the level CM this summer.Β Can't expect Kante to carry the midfield again for another season if we continue with 3-4-3 or any other 2 man MF formation. The likes of van Ginkel is a better player than Bakayoko. I'd rather have seen us give him a shot than him, or even Drinkwater although I think for a squad player Drinkwater is okay, not great but being HG helps his status in the squad, although he is another with a pretty bang average skill set.Β bigbluewillie, Bosnian Blue and lucio

quickpassnmove 924
Buy Doucoure from Watford, sell Bakayoko. manpe 10,861
The season is almost over, I've seen enough of him now to pass a more informedΒ judgement. I've bided my time on making this damning assessment, but here it goes - he is the worst player we've had since I've been following Chels. I'm not going to call him the worst signing just yet, simply because it takes a lot to top Torres for that title, and he still has the age and adaptation factor going for him. If he repeats the same shit next season, then he will be the worst player AND the worst signing of all time for me. He doesn't have anything you need from a professional football player, in any position, but especially in midfield. Ball control, first touch, passing, shooting, awareness, composure, jump timing, pace, recovery time - ALL missing. The most useful thing he does sometimes is get his body in the way, that's all I can think off, but often times thisΒ ends up with fouls.
