Vytis33 1,271
I mean I really hate to pile on here but I can’t believe how inept this player looks.  Some of his crosses are absolutely WTF moments.  He brings so little anymore it’s as if we’re playing with one less man on the pitch.  Shocking how far he’s fallen since the title winning campaign under Conte.     Johnnyeye and mccg

Playing a wing-back role in a 3-4-3 is a completely different task than a regular LB in a back four, everyone knew last summer that Alonso would not cut it there but the club did nothing. kc_blue and Johnnyeye

Hopefully both will be sold in the summer. Yes, Azpi included. Time for us to cash in on a spent force. Our fullback play has been pathetic shit most of the year. ja1 1,166
Yeah that ‘he still thinks’ was still actually quite worrying, does he think Alonso is just out of form and Emerson is the short term stop gap? Johnnyeye
BlueLyon 9,359
Alonso was NEVER one of the best LBs in europe. He was good wingback but even that was 2 seasons ago. Unionjack
Popular Post! Clockwork 1,794 Posted February 26, 2019 Popular Post! Share Posted February 26, 2019 The whole Alonso and Emerson situation is extremely strange, the latter fits the type of football Sarri wants to implement so much. For example arguably our best oppertunity came from a combination play that started with Emerson. This type of combination was enormously important to the football Napoli enjoyed, the duo of Alonso and Azpi are just not capable of it.   !Hazard!, 1905didierblue, ja1 and 2 others

Pedro really made a mess of it, what kind of an attacking player does not think about shooting from that position?! Unionjack

Sadly Dave just doesn't suit this type of game. And its quite sad as he has always been one of my fave players. Strong, dependable nut with a good nature. But this season he seems to have got less and less in each way. He just hasn't been the player we have always known and trusted. As a player nor leader.  As for this from Pedro it's quite shocking. He had more room to shoot than assist. He doesn't even seem to take a look before that pass to KDB. I was all for giving Pedro another year - and we probably will - AND WILLIAN ffs. But its time they both went, And take a serious look at both FBs Add them to the ST/ACM/Edan/CHO/Luiz replacements and it leaves us with a fuckin busy time in the summer. That is of course if Granny Penny Pinscher can put off her summer holiday long enough to try to do summet.
