Kostas Manolas targeted after Kalidou Koulibaly rejection

Quote

Chelsea FC have reportedly already been dealt a blow in the transfer market after seeing their approach for Kalidou Koulibaly rebuffed. Kostas Manolas is next.As we head into the summer transfer window, transfer rumours regarding Chelsea FC are gaining in strength. The latest report claims that the Blues have had a bid for Kalidou Koulibaly rejected, leading them to target Kostas Manolas.According to Sky Italia, Antonio Conte has been dealt a blow with regard to his recruitment after Napoli ruled out a move for Koulibaly. As a result, the club have turned their attention to AS Roma’s Manolas.

Antonio Conte had requested club bosses move for Senegal international Koulibaly, only to be told the deal couldn’t happen…a swoop for Manolas is now on the agenda as Conte seeks to solidify Chelsea’s backline ahead of the new season. – via the Express
Chelsea need to strengthen all over the field ahead of Antonio Conte’s maiden season in charge, but the defence requires particular attention. John Terry has just signed a one-year contract extension, but it has been accepted that he won’t be taking the field on a regular basis. Gary Cahill, meanwhile, is past his peak and Kurt Zouma will be injured for the start of the campaign.Koulibaly has made quite an impression in the Serie A. He made 32 starts for Napoli this season as he helped the club to second position. Furthermore, only the champions had a meaner defence.Unfortunately, Napoli seem intent on keeping their star defender as they look to establish themselves in the Champions League next year.Manolas has been linked with the Blues since Conte’s arrival was announced. The Roma player has been building an impressive reputation and, at the age of 24, he is still thought to be far from his potential.

Even though Conte will currently have his plate full with Italy’s EURO 2016 preparations, he will certainly be communicating with Blues officials regarding transfers. Michael Emenalo appears to have held onto his job despite failing to bring in sufficient talent over the last year and he will be desperate to secure some decent players this time around.

It's not to much we need to buy him if we are complaining about how much players cost we wont sign anyone. If they want 40m give them 40m.

I don't want to sound bad here but have you ever disagreed with anyone we are linked too? I think if you had the reigns at CFC we would have about two thousand players.

It's not just Manolas but nigh on everyone we are linked too you think we should sign.

By the way, if our ceiling is signing Manolas we should give in, he's an average defender in an average league...He's simply not that good, and not worth that money.
