I keep saying that our wing back editions need to change in the summer, we simply do not threaten from wide enough, not just that but far too many players are comfortable at the club, they need showing the door. One home win under Hiddink is piss poor the defence needs a total clear out on current form all of them should be worried about keeping their place next season. Europa league at the expense of MU-Stoke-S'ton-'pool was always difficult, even with better results. Following the disastrous early part of the season we were closer to Aston Villa than to M. Utd. The EL is actually a very entertaining competition (the quality is nowhere near as good, but the games are usually more fun to watch) - the only thing people have against it is the Thursday night aspect. Thursday-Sunday is a very difficult transition, especially with the long-distance travel. If it was played on the same days as the CL, people would be more into it. Can´t say I enjoyed the game, but given how our season has been, a draw against them is not a terrible result. I just can´t wait to see Conte at the bridge. The sooner the season ends, the better. I'm a bit torn with Europa, on one side I think exactly what you have just posted but on the flip side it could be a good competition to give our best young players extended minutes and a season without Chelsea playing in midweek will be boring as hell. My sentiments exact, mate. Both Pros and Cons of Europa hold a lot of merit. But I am for Europa only because of the young players we have. If we get Europa, I hope Roman treats it as a building field for youth like Traore, Kenedy, RLC, Baba, Musonda, Ake rather than forcing Conte to play deadwood like mikel, oscar, Cahill in the competition. Yeah I get you, but even so, I'd rather Conte prepare an EPL game for a full six or seven days with the entire squad than have to train three days for an away game in Switzerland or Czech Republic, then come back home and in the remaining three days to get ready for Arsenal or City. Yeah, but when we had Raffa he said "it's coals too Newcastle if you win this - no prizes". Once upon a time it was better - because only one team went to champions cup. .
