Tomo 21,751
If we bring him back for a good price.Accept that he will get injured sometimes and use him as a luxury player (brilliant luxury player) .If we class him as a key player and he is out a lot our form will suffer (IE Arsenal without Van Persie). But i would take him back in a shot. LDN Blue 7,903
Too bad he is a bit selfish.Agreed! Both legs of Bayern versus Inter showed that! He's moody & selfish.. Not a good combination
termninja 5,290
He's a class and I'd welcome him here. I agree that he's selfish and injury prone, but he is an also extremely good player who can decide a match on his own. Besides that, we really need 1 good winger who can beat people. Not a good combination And Gomes profitied twice off his 'selfishness' in the two games.Robben is an incredible football player. Even if he plays 30 games a season it would be worth it. Rambo 1,729
One of my fav. wingers and was pretty pissed off when he left but he was way too injury prone and I just don't see us going after him with other cheaper talent on the market. Madmax 9,219
No.The downsides have been mentioned already, so pointless repeating them. One other major disadvantage for me atleast is that he's quite predictable. Mazy run, cutting inside and getting the shot away - Robben in a nutshell. Mazy run, cutting inside and getting the shot away - Robben in a nutshell.Defenders may know what he will do 9 times out of 10 but then there is a small matter of stopping him.Do you remember the Liverpool and Fullham games when we were losing and drawing respectively but cruising in our play like we were 5-0 up NO URGENCY AT-ALL, if we had Rooben then it would have been a completely different matter. EskWeston 696
One of my favorite ever Chelsea players and exactly the sort of player we need, but why go back now? We should be looking for the NEXT Robben.
chrismada9 1,948
I'd say go in for him!! he's a left-sided midfielder, and could easy replace misfiring Malouda. He's had the most appearances for us as well, so he knows us quite a bit!!

If we could loan him for a season would be a good bet....
Swoopz 183
He wont come back. He even talked Ribery out of coming to SB, I have seen interviews where he claimed that he didnt enjoy his span at Chelsea very much either. Forget about it

Kostas 1,468
Huge wages mean nothing to Abramovich If we learned one thing from the Aguero fiasco it's the contrary.
Styles 9,790
Last night just proves my point. One Robben game is worth 10 Malouda and Zhirkov performances. They aren't fit to clean his boots. Our wingers are pitiful. The worst group of wide men of any top club in Europe.Beat a player? Cross a ball? Pah. These jokers would struggle to make the Stoke/Wolves team ahead of players like Etherington/Jarvis.

The only player I've seen send a cross or beat a man is Drogba
wisey11zola25 142
This is probably a long shot even mentioning this man as return transfer target....but we are at the point of a creative player and/or winger....after forgetting about him for a while i watched Bayern v Zurich last night and he was everything we need...still takes on a man, still puts in a perfect cross, still finishes on both feet!Arjen Robben...Why did we let him go!? what a different class player!if we'll pay 30mil for Luka..i'd pay exactly the same for the return of this man!
