Martina 210
Chelsea must fork out £12m to free Mourinho from Real MadridThat's more than reasonable. After all we payed £50 million for the biggest flop in football history and sacking managers is an expensive hobby.

We should just tell them to keep José or pay him the contract sack fee, lets see what they respond and if they don't come crying for an agreement... Henrique 9,133
Mourinho + Falcao + Alonso.I think one more CB and a full back and 2 squad players will do the job. I really dont want Mourinho back, but I reckon he is the kid of guy who bring instant success.

Look at what we paid for AVB - not to mention the 12 million we paid to sack him.

But in any case why would we pay Real for JM? he's going to be fired anyways so teams will wait till that happens and then sign him. The Skipper 20,609
Daily Mail sensationalising things. In the Telegraph it says Mourinho's release clause is €12m, which is around £10m, and they also say Real will be looking for something considerably less than that anyway - I'm inclined to believe the Telegraph over the DM. Pizy 18,937
Don't really know about Alonso. Getting up there in age and was almost completely ineffective against Dortmund. If Jose were to bring over a midfielder from Madrid I'd prefer Modric or Khedira. Rmpr 8,977
@Blue-in-me-Veins, we would pay that, but since he decided to join Spurs, we got rid of it!@Martina, what are you on about? Real will fire Jose one way or another, we should not pay anything. We only payed Porto 15mi for AVB because we took him away from them... Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
What I wonder through all the smoke, is if Roman would honestly give JM the longevity he wants and that we as a club need at the manager position. Do you guys think Roman would let JM re-build and manage this team BOTH through 'thick and thin' for 2+ seasons? Because in all honesty this last firing of RDM really struck a nerve, that im still not entirely over. All signs would point that if you re-hire a manger who had great success here (and abroad even after he left) that you'd give him the keys to the car or maybe this time let him atleast sit in the passenger's seat. But something always irks me with Roman, that one day he'll wake up on the wrong side of the bed and fire him for losing 3 games. (hopefully you get the idea). I dont see why he would join in a former club if he wasnt planning on it being for awhile. I see him really wanting to build a team not only for immediate success, but also for the future.if he wanted short term he would choose psg or a new challenge. like people have said, he's coming home. He loves us and everyone here, with a few exceptions, love him and thats what he wants. He does seem to have changed, and now i see the new challenge he wants as something that will last longer. the way he keeps talking about us, you can really tell he loves us Blue-in-me-Veins and Tomo

This is exactly what would happen if someone like Klopp or Moyes comes, but I think Roman will be more patient with Mourinho. Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
@, Thats 100% true, and i totally agree. But does Roman have this unlimited love for JM? That to me is the million-dollar question.

Man i really hope so. Not sure if he does, but i guess the logic in my other post could go both ways with roman too. why re-hire a past manager if you dont think and want him to stay for awhile. My hope is that roman wants his heavy investment in youth teams to finally prosper and a consistent manager will help that. One can wish for this to happen and stay long term atleast
