The Mourinho Thread

I'm sorry, but there is 0 evidence to suggest that by getting mourinho we will become even more likely than we were to sign falcao, who we know is already in romans mind...

Who we know might already be a done deal....

(back on topic though)

What part? Called Roman to match the two Manchester teams? Asked for 25mi to buy a Brazilian who was well over a year in the eyes of the Portuguese and Russian teams? You can say he had a part on Azi and Moses, but Hazard and Oscar were no brainer...

However, the positives he brought to the club doesnt even start to compensate for the shits he has done. No matter if Mourinho accepts him or not, he should be fired.

Just to clarify, I am by no means wanting Emenalo to stay(or to leave for that matter). Sitting on the fence. If it means him leaving for Mourinho to come back, then good. If not, meh.....

As for the issue quoted, yes, the purchase of Oscar and Hazard may seem like a no brainer but one can't really take it granted they joined us then just because we're Chelsea FC. They would still have to be convinced of sorts and like it or not, Emenalo played a part in doing so.

That might even be true for Hazard, but I doubt it.

Chelsea FC is really big in Brazil mate, it is quite popular. Emenalo didnt have to do anything special to convince Oscar, anyother director would have sealed his signature with the transfer budget and wages they offered him...

Since when was Oscar's purchase a no brainer? Hardly anyone on here seen him play or even heard of him before we signed him.

Just because Europeans dont watch football around the World it doesnt mean no one knew him. Do you ever wonder why big clubs always overpay? Why Portuguese and Russian clubs always make huge profit? These players are always unknown until Falcao bangs goals around Europe or Ronaldinho rips Ligue 1 apart, etc.

Oscar was already making quite an impact, it was only a matter of a club with money comming to Brazil to get him. We wouldnt pay 25mi for a nobody....

There is a reason why clubs have professional scouts!

Still doesn't change the fact that barely anyone on the forum knew him, which was my initial point. I wasn't saying that Oscar wasn't worth 25m at the time, just the fact that a lot of people here didn't know that much about him.

Missed my point, Oscar wasnt worth 25mi (I have said this several times).

However, any scout that took time to watch him ended with an offer to Inter and Sao Paulo. Oscar rejected a lot of clubs before going to Chelsea...

My point was solely on the fact Emenalo has very little credit on the signing of Oscar. This has gone totally off-topic!

Still can't take it for granted, can we? Let's not forget that Spurs were strongly linked with Oscar too last summer and IIRC, they looked very likely to sign him before we 'stole' him for Spurs.

Do you think our transfer dealings have been better or worse since he took over?

Oscar wasn't a no-brainer by any means either. What about Courtois, Lukaku, De Bruyne, Cahill and Ba? All signed for moderate fees and on sensible wages.

Do you think youth player development has been better or worse since he took over, in terms of loans?
