Spike 12,049
Whenever i think of Falcao, i think of Falcon.A fast creature with a killer instinct. Eyes up his prey and fucks shit upEverytime I think of Falcon I think of the Ford Falcon. A distinctly average economy car.A slowish vehicle with no power steering. Running over your prey is equally likely to destroy the car and prey.
RamiCFC9 258
When Lampard was starting in the pivot I said "Anything would be better compared to Lampard" and it turned true. Now I can safely say Anything would be better compared to Torres.Let's just hope that that anything will be Danny taking his chances and developing into world great OR we buy Falcao. ChelseaKid10 35
Torres has just bulked out too much, really slowing him down. We need Falcao/Neymar/Cavani/Lewandowski/Gomez. Would be happy with any of those....

I recall reading an interview where one of his old coach or friend? said he gained weight to play the old Chelsea style.

I literally think of my grandmothers crappy old car when I read the word Falcao. I'm not comparing Falcao to a crappy old car, you've entirely missed the point. And once again Torres in inclusive to eveything.Besides that is a Ford Falcon GT. This is a Ford Falcon:

My bad.Falcons like the one pictures above is a bogans car. Is your gran a bogan?Well yeah, in this case because its the Falcao thread who is the most likely striker to take Torres' place next to Danny. If this was say the Maicon thread then Ivanovics name would of been bought up

She comes from a family of land owners from rural Queensland and attended a strict Catholic school in Brisbane, she couldn't be less like a bogan. Besides she sold that piece of crap almost 6 years ago.I'm sick of hearing about FALCAO. The Rising Sun 711
Unless we can get 20 mill for torres or sturridge + atleast another 7-8 mill from another player sale, i dont think we can go ahead and buy a 48 mill striker.FFP and all that. Tricky 301
I really don't see us spending £48 million in Janurary, smell the coffee ppl we spent £80 million over the summer and are undefeated in the league. Now is not the time to panic.I've defended Nando a lot, but he was pants the other night, might have something to do with the fact he has started very game as our out and out striker. Week off might be in order.Personally feel that Sturridge is on his way out. Think they will replace him with someone in the £10-15 million category. Still more than enough time for that to change either way but I'd be very disappointed if he did leave at his age, he still has so much he could learn just by being around the place than he could anywhere elseAs for Falcao I like almost everybody else rate him so highly it's frighting to think that we'd actually have a chance to sign him. I really would throw the kitchen sink to get him here in anyway possible he is that good that he could transform any team he goes to in this league into a frighting force. He is one of the many few who I wouldn't be worried about needing to be bedded in because I think he'd able to adjust to almost any style of the game. In regards to money if we did move I'd trade Torres for him and I'm a big Torres fan but the transfer fee it would command it would only be logical to suggest a trade to soften the financial blow. Torres plus maybe £10m and I'd be happy
TheCount 146
with our new system it looks like it is destined for a certain NEYMAR. He has been playing as a false 9 for Brazil for a while and his link up play and friendship with Oscar is to our advantage. Think about it, if he wants to be the best why would he go to barca and real m. when they have CR7 and Messi. I am telling you guys , Roman's next surprise to us is NEYMAR not FALCAO.PS= we have always bought strikers that do not fit our system of play, as such a CAVANI or a NEYMAR fit us better than a FALCAO.I'd shoot someone if that little shite came to chelsea,Cavani not neymar, in fact anyone bar that cunt neymar. Funkyflashman 187
Does anyone know how FFP is likely to affect the possibility of this happening? Or indeed any other big name that Chelsea might happen to want be it Neymar/Cavani etc etc. Do we still have the ability to make big purchases like this?? We spent a lot in the summer... Just curious, I'm researching but if I'm honest It's not crystal clear yet
BOSS 372
Chelsea set for FalcaoChelsea will make a sensational £48 million January move for Atletico Madrid star Radamel Falcao, Goal.com has learned.Roman Abramovich, the Chelsea owner, has decided to activate the €60m (£48.1m) release clause in the Colombian’s contract as he looks to land one of the hottest strikers in the world.Manchester City are also interested in Falcao but the Premier League champions fear the 26-year-old is destined for a switch to Stamford Bridge in the New Year, with some suggesting that he has already agreed personal terms with the Londoners.Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo wants a leading striker in the next transfer window, with Fernando Torres currently the only out-and-out forward in the first-team squad.Falcao, who has already scored 12 goals in eight Atletico Madrid appearances this season, fits the bill as a natural goalscorer to combine with the likes of Eden Hazard, Juan Mata and Oscar as Chelsea target Premier League glory this term.Atletico are desperate to keep Falcao but will have no option if a club activates the buyout clause for a player who cost £34.7m when he joined from Porto in 2011.The deal will be complicated by third-party ownership issues - with super agent Jorge Mendes part of a consortium holding an interest in Falcao - but Chelsea have started work early to ensure the move goes through smoothly.City could yet rival Chelsea for Falcao’s signature but first need to offload one of their four main strikers - Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez, Edin Dzeko and Mario Balotelli - meaning the Blues are hot favourites to land the former River Plate man.Falcao scored 36 goals in his first season in the Spanish capital, firing them to victory in the Europa League before further catching the eye with a stunning hat-trick in Atletico’s 4-1 win against Chelsea in the European Super Cup in August. The Blues spent more than £70m in the summer to bring in Hazard, Oscar, Victor Moses, Marko Marin and Cesar Apilicueta - but Abramovich is ready to make the money available to sign Falcao and remains confident that the club will meet Uefa’s Financial Fair Play regulations.Falcao’s arrival would again raise questions over the long-term future of £50m Fernando Torres, who has scored four goals in eight Premier League appearances so far this season.
