X_Speed 33
For me Radamel Falcao is the best centre Forward in the world. He would help us if we would sign him
Stats 7,142
Well, he wasnt impressive tonight, had few chances, didnt create any and only one or two shots. Atletico played very bad in first half, tried hard in second, but Valencia was superb in attack and defence, they won 2:0. Superb goal from Soldado and I must say I realy enyojed watching Feghouli. Falcao showed that he is very strong player, not easy to get off the ball and his jumping is fantastic. He run whole game, tried hard, but it just wasnt his day. Was fouled many times, but get up realy quickly, full respect to him for his attitude. So Atletico played similar to us, lot of possesion, attacking, but there was no support, no final pass to Falcao and he didnt create much on his own. Perhaps Im bit dissapointed with lack of his dribbling, would expect more from him realy. But you can clearly see he is enjoying play football, and his ball control is great. I said that he is not good at passing, however, tonight he was great at passing and showed he can be team player. A goal from him would be nice, but the game overall was very exciting and Valencia deserved victory.Tino Costa, Filipe Luis, Diego Godin, Joao Perreira, Adriano and Arda had good game aswell. I was happy to see Ever Banega to come in game in second half, he was always one of my favourite players at Valencia and I hope he fully recovered from injury. Wouldnt be bad to see him at Chelsea someday. Certainly he must stay at Valencia now to gain fitness and gets regular football. Maybe in summer, we could get him.Well all strikers, have their bad days, even Messi. That was Falcao's first bad game for ages, and that is understandable considering he is basically carrying that team on his own. But imagine Falcao at us with all our attacking, creative talent, he would surely score goals for fun
BlueJewel 56
I honestly think buying Falcao isn't the greatest idea, he's going to be as expensive as our own Torres and the media pressure on him might break him down. I think it would be better to find a cheaper alternative like Seydou Doumbia or Jackson Martinez (who already has scored 11 goals in his first 12 matches more than Radamel Falcao, Lisandro López and Hulk did in similar matches). I think we dodged a bullet with the Hulk transfer, if the management were not willing to pay crazy fees for him, I doubt they would for Falcao, with that said I'd be more than glad to back him if he signs for Chelsea. Funkyflashman 187
Not our headache.Oh true, I'm just saying that I can't believe this is legit... Can you imagine the Atletico board meeting???"So we are resigned to selling Radamel Falcao. Any suggestions as to who we could go for to replace him? What's that? Fernando Torres? Brilliant idea, I'll begin the paperwork..."I dont see it
BlueJewel 56
Why on earth would Madrid want Torres though...?Point of correction here, Atletico Madrid are traditionally not referred to as "Madrid" they're known simply as "Atletico" (Sorry for being a prick ). Anyway, Torres was quoted somewhere to have said that he was not ready to go back to Atletico. Even if he wished to go back, I doubt they'd be able to afford his wages, the best deal we could get for Falcao would be something like £40 million + Courtois + Torres on a years loan (Chelsea paying a huge portion of his wages)

I really like courtois though, not really in favour of this
Mufassir08 2,400
Dont want courtois to be part of the falcao deal.He has got the potential to be the best keeper in the world one day although what we can do is extend his loan at atletico for a further 2 years. KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
Now way should Courtois be used in the Falcao deal. Not wise.

He needs to adapt to the EPL as soon as possible.Cech is a great keeper but competition for the #1 jersey can only be a good thing.

We could adapt Courtois for his future role, Torres would fight for position and we would have to unfortunatelly sell Sturridge.
RamiCFC9 258
I showed video of Falcao to my brother and he didn't even know him and isn't big football fan at all and what he said was "well the guy don't do anything flashy but SCORES" simple. Jype 6,398
Not a chance we'd be willing to let Courtois leave on a permanent deal in part exchange for Falcao. Courtois is already worth around 20m (see De Gea's market value a year ago and Courtois is doing better in the same team than De Gea ever did) and his value is only going to increase if he continues to perform like that. Maybe we could make an exception here and extend the loan for one more year instead of sticking to the original plan of loaning him out to a PL team next year but no matter how good Falcao is, I say it's not worth permanently letting go of a future top3 keeper in the world. Not to mention Atletico would make a huge profit on him in a few years when Barcelona or some other top club desperately in need of a goalkeeper came calling, making us look like idiots in the transfer market once again. OneMoSalah 8,886
If Courtois is allowed to leave then everyone who is involved in negotiating this transfer at Chelsea should be lynched.
