lionsden 4,689
Thinking about it. The negative impact of the Torres transfer is greater than just the transfer fee and result on the pitch. He essentially prevented us from getting prime Falcao when AVB joined from porto and was greatly responsible for Sturridge departure as we were determined to make the £50m investment work by all means. Not to mention we passed up Aguero for him. Vybz Kartel, kc_blue and The Skipper

Pizy 18,903
Even if he replicates his Leti form I'll probably still prefer Costa.Well I don't know about that! Falcao at his best was easily better than Costa. We all know he'll never reach that level again. I think Costa would have to go without scoring for a long, long stretch to be benched. Costa fits us like a glove and seems to be underrated by most opposition fans.If he betters his goal return from last season that should change. Costa fits us like a glove and seems to be underrated by most opposition fans.If he betters his goal return from last season that should change.I honestly believe he will hit close to 40 in all comps with an injury free season.Utilise him right and he is unplayable. However he will probably not get the credit he deserves even then due to the obsession with technical game in the average footy fan. Sheva. 5,373
Costa is one of the top 7 strikers in Europe, he'll not sit on the bench for anyone.Worst case scenario is he'll play on the wing if another striker is also playing really well. Adnane 1,101
If Falcao is a success. MaticProperBtoB-Fabregas Hazard Costa-Falcao Unstoppable :blue scalf:( Kidding ofc, no way we'll see that happen, although Willian would fit perfectly in the remaining spot... )This team would be outran, overpowered, easily dispossessed and every other opponent's dream come true. If we play 433 with Fabregas we need two good defensive players behind him, a B2B might not be enough (unless is one better defensively) and Willian definitely wouldn't be the answer at all. Those kind of teams work only in video games....
