Hello mates! Another PL and UCL season is upon us. What a glorious time of year. Love it!

The pre-season has been perhaps our poorest in a few years, no doubt, but it is after all, just that, pre-season.

Time for the lights to come on play some serious football while defending the title. I think we all know our 13 man rotation was wearing thin late last season, but the 32 points out of a possible 36 in our first 12 sent us well on our way to the title. It's a long way to May and Jose knows it. I think this is why he has not shown a lot of emotion in the pre-season.

UCL is a focus this year. Jose needs marathoners not sprinters.

We need to jump out in front at the opening gate again this year. I am taking Chelsea to win Saturday, 1-3.

I expect:

Courtois

Ivanovic - Cahill - Terry - Azpilicueta

Fabregas - Matic

Willian - Hazard - Moses

Remy

Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:

I think it'll be the same as last year (except Costa likely out). i.e.

Courtois

Ivanovic - Cahill - Terry - Azpilicueta

Fabregas - Matic

Willian - Oscar - Hazard

Falcao

I also reckon Falcao will get the nod ahead of Remy.

What do I expect? Well, a really tough game actually. Swansea ain't no mugs and despite us smashing them at The Liberty last season this is very different. We have looked sluggish to say the least in pre season. I can honestly see us conceding first and us needing to chase the game and it ending up in a 1-1 draw. If Costa isn't fit I want to see Falcao, but not only see Falcao but also see him receive service from the likes of Oscar and Hazard.

Nice fast and efficient start please, both to the season and the match.

Glad we don't have to face City right away and we get to face Swansea first. Let's see how the boys do in a game that actually matters before freaking out.

i would prefer to have played City first as they have not looked good in pre-season and could be without Aguero, Silva and Nasri

The match against Manchester City is one of the most dangerous matches in England. IMO, after The Bridge, Etihad Stadium is the most difficult place in Premier League. If we managed to win that match, I think we could stick a big blow on the table to start building our sixth Premier League.

But, match by match, and I hope that tomorrow we change the sensations of this preseason and we start the Premier with a good game and, if were possible, with a win with quick goals to avoid unnecessary scares.

By the way, I would love to see Zouma in our starting eleven tomorr
ow....

Regards.
