Anybody still waiting for the announcment from his agent?

Absolutely nothing is reliable anymore...

Anyway, latest is that he agreed to move to barca, with going to gala on loan till january. But barcelona frozen all transfer activity till their presidental elections.

Arda has been horse shit. Oscar is well liked by the manager and the fans outside of TalkChelsea. Hard working, can keep the ball and can find key passes. Turan is a crap number 10. Stats can be very misleading.

Another perspective^^

Oscar has been over worked in all areas over the past 3 years, for club and country. Has played nearly game for us. Every game for Brazil; until his injury he had not had a pre season since he was a teenager.

He covers for Fabregas all the time, he brings balance to the entire squad - let me remind you that when Ramires played in his place when he was out of form, he completely fucked up the team and Mourinho thought so too - once subbed on at half time he restored balance to the team and to my recollection we won that game (I think it was Everton at home) and when he plays well, the whole team plays well. Had he not got knocked out by Ospina we would have won against Arsenal, too.

Arda is literally the same player as him but he is 5 or 6 years older. It makes zero sense to buy him and you will be saying what you're saying about Oscar now about Turan one year from now. Oscar will grow as a player, he was once more talented as a youth player than Eden Hazard, and he will get better. How much depends entirely on him.

let us summarise the above comments,

Oscar is shit

Turan is shitter

Nope, I'd say they're about the same quality now barring pace of which Oscar has more.

However, buying a 28 year old player to replace a 23 year old player is negligent, and driven by "grass is greener" syndrome.

The team front 6 of

Matic Cesc

Willian Oscar Hazard

Costa

after the thrashing of Swansea in early January did not play together when in form again, and before hand it was tearing up everything in its path. Cesc got injured and never really recovered in time for the end of the season; same with Costa and the ideal replacement Remy along with him. Matic got suspended. When they all came back none were in the form they were in pre-January. We played against some teams with Zouma in midfield and a 37 year old Didier Drogba (who still ended the season with better stats than the fabled Falcao we have just signed) up front, Oscar up front or on the right wing, and overworking Hazard which is showing with his national team. All the replacements completely ruined the balance of the team such as when we tried to play Ramires on the wing or in central midfield; and we won the COC with an out of position CB at DM who did fantastically well there. We held up defensively because other than a brief blip in Cahill's form, the back 4 stayed together and when Zouma came in, arguably it made the back line stronger.

what makes you think Turan is going to replace Oscar?

how did you wrok that out?

huh?

a player who does not have a pre-season, is normally slow off the blocks at the start of the season. not many training sessions and game time with the new guys, the chemistry, the wavelength.

pretty simple actually.

no more like he has a few weeks off before returninng, so is fresh for the early part of the season, but because of the lack of a pre-season he is unable to maintain those levels as the seaosn progresses, That is how these things work

Bartomeu (candidate and current president of Barcelona): "Luis Enrique requested Arda and the Manager (which is provisional until the elections) should sign him"

The candidate, told to Cadena SER: "The Management should sign a player like that. They must do. They must sign Arda and that he is already incorporated in the preseason."

It seems to be true that there is an agreement. But Arda Turan's agent said there was no agreement with Barcelona. This is quite rare.

Regards.
