This guy has to be the most delusional footballer on the planet. Him having the audacity to reject Chelsea for Liverpool solely because of his will to play in midfield (not even realizing he'd probably be 5th-6th down the pecking order in Liverpool's mid) makes me think we've dodged a bullet, even though I think he'd be a perfect wing-back under Conte. Oh well, he's an idiot and he wasted his only chance of becoming a very good player in a certain position and actually having some sort of identity as a player.

He’s barely played CM for them and this is without Coutinho and Keita being available. What a stupid, stupid move.

I don't think the reason he want to play as cm is true.  Either he just want to play for liverpool because of English friend or he just does not want to play as defender

Stupid move indeed, but he never struck me as being a bright footballer.
Remember the gaffe last season where he "accidently" liked an ArsenalFanTV video that called for Wenger to be sacked?

No Lallana, Coutinho, Mane and he still can't get in the team :D. Next season Keita joins too so really intrigued to see how this works out :wank2:

I honestly feel like he didn't want to take on the challenge at Chelsea (even though he had all the attributes to be a pretty good wingback in Conte's system)

He prefers being a squad player for a 'fun' 'attacking' team than trying to improve himself and become a starter for a title-challenging side.

To be honest 35M and a fuck tonne in wages (apparently we offered a good bit more than Pool) for a player who wouldn’t of necessarily wanted to play as a wing back which is where Conte told him he saw him playing (despite AOC skill set being suited to it), it wasn’t worth the risk.

I’m glad he’s at a team that’s struggling, we’ve not done exceptionally either but you can guarentee we will turn it around we have a better team with more experience in winning trophies/competing for trophies in my eyes. I think in the future he will rue the decision especially towards the latter stages of his career because I guarantee Chelsea will have more trophies than Liverpool in that period. I guarentee he will still be a player with no definitive position or role by then too.
