Would be such a let down to go from Ox who probably could've blossomed into a top player and an upgrade on Moses to Cedric who I don't even think would displace Moses. But that seems the likeliest outcome now. The club will also look like mugs now for bidding for Ox and agreeing terms with Arsenal without even getting the OK from the player himself. Almost amateur stuff there. Why wouldn't we find out before bidding?

AK-3001 286
People need to chill the fuck out. Everytime a transfer doesn't go our way, we start blaming the club. 2 days left, panic mode yes, but keep faith ffs!
akgw13 867
Guy doesn't wanna play wing back and wants a central role. Respect him for making the call, we definitely would have played him at wing back. Sucks to miss out on him but can't blame him if he doesn't want the particular role. scramble mode time. Even speaking with his agent or an intermediary to find out if he'd be willing to move.

Despiadado.Maleante 1,046
I would give zero fuks since it's for 40mil lol for a bang average player, but I know our incompetent board have no alternative lined up cos they're useless cunts. Rapkun 668
I'm just wondering. Did we really waste time trying to persuade Arsenal to sell without contacting people close to him to see if he was interested in a move? I thought that was the first thing in any transfer. There were reports about it, but I guess the club thoguht they'd be able to convince him. Doesn't seem that way. Anyway, time to move on to other targets. Stats 7,170
Got to a point with us that even when we agree a fee for a player, you still don't get excited until the signature is signed on the dotted line. I had a fear about this happening and now look. You will come to regret it Ox anyway...
bluesman2610 1,423
Part of me thinks this is papers trying to sell papers and gain clicks because BBC is who broke the story to begin with that fees agreed - now a BBC reporter claims he wants to go to Liverpool. You mean to tell me that you work for the company and had no idea before they let out a press release that he wouldn't go to Chelsea and only wants Liverpool. Then all other news media latching on to his story. It will be unfortunate if true but i'm still a little skeptical

Usually agreeing terms with a player is a formality and the easiest part of a deal while dealing with the selling club is the hard part. We agreed terms with a hated London rival for one of their better players and he then rejects us. Sickening.
Rapkun 668
The only possible positive thing about this is that if Liverpool sign him, they won't be able to sign Lemar who would be a real upgrade to their midfield. Even then, we would still need to look for a quality RB before deadline. Need to hijack the Aurier deal if there is still a chance. The other name we've been linked with is Cedric, but I doubt Southampton will sell.
