Well with us having a couple of players in it I was praying for a good show from Falcao but alas it didnt come. He actually looked out of breath pretty early (thats gonna be the 1st thing Jose looks at I can imagine)

Apart from Neymar throwing all his toys out his pram and acting like a spoiled brat the most intersting thing was there didn't seem any love lost between Filipe and Cuadrado. But seeing it looks like neither of them will be with us too much longer - Oh well!

With the possible exceptions of Luis, Miranda, Alves, and Coutinho (and even these four were far from great), Brazil were absolutely woeful against Colombia. Neymar, for all that he's clearly Brazil's best player at the moment, is currently far from being captain material; he's far too easy to provoke/upset/annoy and is now possibly suspended for the next two games as a result of this. Fred looks a decent, hard-working squad player, but nothing more; he isn't capable of being a genuine replacement for Oscar, and so shouldn't continue to be selected in the starting 11. Firmino SHOULD probably be given another chance in a starting role, but will have to improve massively upon what he just showed against Colombia, as he was possibly the worst player on the pitch.

I have no idea why Dunga set his team up in such a rigid way in the first-half, as it meant that Brazil's attacking players were often completely isolated when in possession, and were therefore very easy to shut down and dispossess. Willian (LM)-Coutinho (CAM)-Douglas Costa (RM) behind Firmino (ST) should be the attacking line-up deployed until Neymar is available to return (or until Brazil are knocked-out).

Colombia were absolutely brilliant for most of the game, and particularly in the first-half; they pressed Brazil aggressively high up the pitch, and closed down the passing lanes with some excellent positioning. Cuadrado looked so much better than he has ever done for us up to this point, James Rodriguez was generally very good, the Colombian back-line was wonderfully disciplined, whilst Carlos Sanchez in DM was probably MoM. Unfortunately, Falcao was well below the level displayed by his team-mates, and was rarely threatening; he was the only Colombian player that didn't perform.

None of the teams looked good so far...

Dunga still insists on dropping the best CB in the world and Neymar is still captain.... BRazil still has an excuse since both starting fullbacks are out along with Oscar. Dunga wasted a lot of spots on places he should of never gave chances to..

Who is this best CB in the world?

The last time Colombia beat Brazil before tonight, James Rodriguez was 1 day old, it was at the 1991 Copa America held on Chile. !!!

Weird...

Neymar's back nearly fucking snapped when he got pushed. :D

And he didn't go to ground [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]

When we though brazil has poor #9 in Luis Fabiano. Turns out he would be ten times better than anything they can offer right now.

Looking at things, brazil is realy unlucky tho. They should have at least two top top strikers in Pato if injuries didnt ruin him and Costa if he didnt chose spain.

Also I realy REALY hate the way brazil plays nowdays. That aint brazil and joga bonito. That is pure shit. Brazil players should play in spain where they can properly learn the quick, technical football. Instead half of their team consists of loggers who know nothing about how to actualy play football and attack, dragging themselves in average ukrainian, russian, brazil leagues....They just know how to defend and commit fauls.

Some players are injured but this would be ideal 11 IMO.

Diego Alves

Danilo-Thiago-Luiz-Marcelo

Gustavo-Allan

Lucas-Oscar-Willian

Neymar

Coutinho, Marquinhos, Casemiro, Rafinha, Lucas Silva maybe if they become realy good.

I dont know how can you pick striker who plays in china or midfielder who plays in al ahli or bunch of players who play for shakhtar or some average brazil teams. Brazil needs someone like Guardiola to make this group of individuals into a team.

Also how can you name Neymar as your captain? Being the star of team doesnt equal of being mature leader on pitch. Back then Brazil had Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho,...but it was CAFU who was their captain. Replacing Thiago Silva with Neymar under Dunga as cap was pure shit for commercial reasons.

You can forget about jorgo bonito. Other than neymar Brazil has no flair player. We have seen what kind of player willian and oscar are.

I am also not sure about playing neymar as striker, I still think he is at best on the left wing although Brazil has no striker, it is just crazy.

I think the idea of making neymar their captain is kinda similar when Argentina made messi their captain. They wanted him to be more responsible, I just don't think Neymar is ready just yet.

I think its not impossible. Liverpool managed to play good attacking football with just Suarez as their top player (in brazil case Neymar). And Brazil actualy has good defenders. Problem is their coach and his poor tactics, and playing with two DMs in midfield in form of Fernandinho/Elias/Fred who are not even top DMs to start with...

Hopefuly Oscar, Coutinho and Lucas will improve. Lucas actualy had very good season, I was surprised some were saying that him and Hulk are out of team (he is actualy injured or sth). I agree Hulk should be out (but not sure if he is actualy worse than Tardelli), but Lucas should be in team when fit.

They have good bunch of full backs and defense, so the only problem is creative CM and striker.

it because the sponsors paid them off.

Exactly, the reason why neymar all of a sudden got the n10 jersey from Oscar and Brazil has never looked like a cohesive unit again after the appointment of Scolari.

Brazil have a ton of flair players....

Even their backline has more flair than the rest of the world.

Neymar being captain is the same as messi being captain and cristiano being captain. MULA MULA for the federation from sponsors.
