Erm Neymar scored a perfectly legit goal as well hahahah why on Earth would you compare him to Cuadrado.

Neymar today was even worse than cuadrado against Stoke.

He has the same ability of being terrible at holding the ball with their backs to the defender because he's too lightlike cuadrado.

They both need to hit the gym....

Its a shame someone of his level will score more goals for Brazil than a phenomenon like Ronaldo... And people who just look at stats will even compare him to Pele because of goals

Who carried Brazil at the WC?

I'll be off. Adiós!

I'm just comparing his performance today to Cuadrado against Stoke... Nothing wrong there

I'm not saying cuadrado is on his level, I just said they both have this ability to lose the ball easily because they're too light and can't protect the ball from defenders with their backs in tight spaces.

I was one of those who were positive for signing, but my major concern was his strenght, as we needed someone who can hold up the ball and has balance (thats why I prefered Turan as he can dictate and keep the ball well). I thought Cuadrado is very unbalanced and not that strong, but some members quoted me he might be small, but strong like Sanchez or Sterling. Yes, I see that now...

However I thought he is mentaly strong, because that is key to be able to dribble as well as he did in fiorentina. I guess was wrong bout that. He probably cant dribble past anything that has either pace or strenght which is more or less every PL player. Hopefuly scores a goal, puts good shift in next games and steps up.

Did the actual Juan Cuadrado ever arrive in England from Italy? I'm becoming worried that we've somehow re-signed Shaun Wright Phillips and Cuadrado is actually living the high life in Vegas in casinos and snorting coke off of hookers' arses

I will let him have a pre season and see how he starts the next season, If there's no improvement by November that's when my head will start to turn.

A bit like with Torres, just the only difference I was one of the first to turn against/give up on him, with Cuadrado ill probably be one of the last.

It's pointless IMO. There's no need whatsoever to compared two players that are a class apart based on 1 match.

Has to be Ricardo Quaresma for me. The guy was a complete fraud. Must be a Serie A thing.

He only really got a few cameos due to the manager who signed him getting sacked a week later but irrc he helped change the game at Pompey and assisted Lamps winner vs Wigan? could be wrong tho.

Based on 1 match? If Neymar came to the EPL, he wouldn't be much better than Cuadrado in terms of holding the ball from stronger defenders

That is an assumptions based on nothing, but he would do better than Juan where it matters. Juan can't even beat a man, so it's like watching Willian all over again.

Neymar being too light to hold off a defender with the ball is a fact. He falls under any slight contact and in the epl they won't give a foul just like cuadrado has realized.

Neymar is better in other aspects except this. I don't know why its hard for you to understand what I mean?

Neymar goes down because he KNOWS he'll most likely get the call. I personally don't think Neymar is as weak as most think, but goes down as he's used to getting the calls. Juan just seems too weak, full stop.

However, my original disagreement with you was comparing both players. There's nothing that warrants it.

Fair enough...I'll never understand why we signed Cuadrado, especially in January

Schurrle would of been more useful than Cuadrado as an impact sub..

Yeah Schurrle would've been so good now, a proven scorer for us. But in his interview I read it was him who forced to leave, so nothing we could do about it.

Cuadrado had a tough youth, his dad was killed while he was hiding in the house. A guy with such background but still managed to be here today surely has great mental power, I believe him and think he will shine once given a run of games, or when Mou tells him just to express himself.

He didn't want to leave but circumstances forced him to and we all know what the 'circumstances' were.

It was annoying we didn't get a third goal on Saturday, but did Mourinho hit the ground in despair because it was Cuadrado who's shots were saved by Begovic? Is Cuadrado's apparent lack of form getting to Mou? He surely wants Juan to score soon to settle some nerves about the signing...

I completely agree. It is £27m down the drain IMO.
