Giles Smith:

He's right.

I have to correct this post...THERE IS A CECH BANNER! To be fair to myself I only ever sit in the MHU when I do attend so wouldn't be able to see it and I've never seen it on TV either until today!

It should be somewhere more visible like the Terry, Lampard and Drogba ones.

Great performance by the way. The way he ran out at Wilshere was amazing. :worship2:

I think he should stay, for the good of himself and us. Lets say he will only plays 10 games this season overall but we win the league and/or CL, he will still get the medals and no one can doubt his role. We will have a fantastic backup that we can rely on for the next 10 years along with a 1st choice GK if they stay fit. Now where else is better for him anyway? PSG? does he really want to go there, sure he will earn good money and probably win at least 2-3 titles in the next few years but are the fans going to show him the love like we are doing?

I mean Sky shown the banners with Cech on it today, he will always be loved here even when he has shit games like Drogba/Lampard and Terry. Also who to say Courtois won't pick up an injury here and then like today, maybe then Cech will get his chance and play for a sustained period.

It was awful that TB got injured, horrible blow. I was worrie when he looked out cold.

For Cech to overcome the disappointment of being dropped and having not played but he stepped up today and was brilliant.

I love Cech

I don't think he is happy, though. He wants some solution. Just read the latest interview with him for a Czech TV from yesterday.

'No one is happy when he has to replace his injured team mate. Those were not the circumstances I wanted to get back on the pitch under. It happened, though, and I am always ready to come on, be it from the start or during the match.'

'I do not think that anything is going to change now because I did not replace Thibaut because of some mistake or a bad performance. Anyway, that decision is up to the manager.'

'In no way am I happy. After 15 years, when I was playing every single game, 50-60 a season, it is a brand new situation to me. It is not looking to be getting any better so let's see what happens in the near future. If it really does not get better, I will have to think about some solution, because I want to play. I believe that I still have a lot to offer. I am definitely going to look for a solution.'

Fair play to Cech....am just grateful that he came on and played the way he would have when he was undisputed no.1.
