Term-X 7,891
Italy does have a few spots opened in AC and Napoli, im surprised he ruled it out.I'm not. PSG alone have raped italian football, very soon even with only Monaco & PSG.. Ligue 1 will overtake it, those two clubs are willing to spend more than every club in Serie A combined.Italian football needs investment.. and It's a shame, because around 2004/05 Serie A was equal with the PL in terms of quality. Popular Post! Milan 17,958 Posted July 3, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted July 3, 2014 There was an interview with him today, he was talking about the very possible situation of him and Thibaut competing for No.1 next season. Here's what he said -"As for the injury, I am recovering better and quicker that it was expected. If it goes like this, I will be able to train, althought not from the very first day, and play games in the pre-season without any limits and be ready.''All I now want is to get fully fit again, be ready for the pre-season and convince the manager that I should be the one starting games as number one. I still have two years left in my contract and naturally, I want to keep playing, I am not interested in anything else. The interest from other clubs is flatterring but as I said, I am not interested.''Every year it is the same, you just want to perform well in the pre-season and hope that the manager picks you. All I can do is to prepare 100 % and do my best. Then it is up to the manager and his ideas. When I come back to Cobham, we will see what the situation will be. As far as I am concerned, I am not moving anywhere else and want to play.'Both me and Thibaut Courtois have contracts and if the club and the manager want both of us to stay, then it will be like that. It depends a lot on the club and their ideas. I have not talked to anyone in the club, nobody has contacted me either. If there is some solution or decision, I am sure somebody would tell me. Right now the situation is clear to me - I am coming back to Cobham for the pre-season and want to play.'I can't help it but what a difference between Cech and Courtois and their different attitudes. Cech is ready to fight for the spot, having all the possible records, meanwhile Courtois without one single appearance for the club is dictating some conditions that he wants to be number one. Don't get me wrong, I am not against him. In fact I want him to stay and be our new number one. You just can't miss the difference. And quite obviously, there have been some offers for Cech, he just admitted it.Here is a final line where Cech revealed that the club want him to continue in the club after his playing career.'I am just hoping that they do not want me to start working in the management on Monday, that would be just sad (and smiles). Naturally, I have grown strong feelings for Chelsea and it would be a massive challenge to continue working for one of the best clubs in the world after my playing career. If it is really on the cards, then it would be make me really proud and happy. As I said though, I believe that it will not be happening in the following four or five years.'Petr Cech as the goalkeeper coach possibly? He thinks though that he is capable of playing another five years. Barbara, DJames, stroey and 2 others

Courtois and Lukaku are just two examples, there are hundreds more examples. Too high wages for youth players, too much exposure for the youth level maybe. But it's really sad, because it is exactly this attitude and mentality that produces real leaders and true winners. RoyalBlues

pWneR 230
Wow, just wow at the difference in attitudes. Cech, an absolute legend in Chelsea, 10 years of service, broke every possible record with the club and won everything with the club is ready to fight for number 1 spot. And there's Courtois, yes he's also one of the best goalkeepers and young, but doesn't even have a picture with a Chelsea shirt and wants a spot in starting 11 without any fight whatsoever? I really hope Cech stays even as a number 2 if he wants to. If he wants to leave, I'll respect that too, you just can't hate this guy. If Courtois beats out Petr for the starting spot let him start cup games or decide his future. If Cech wins, have Courtois do cup games. Juve's "good finances" are probably close to Southampton's or Sunderland's. It's only good compared to the rest of the Serie A. Term is absolutely right. The Serie A is dying.
