Loïc Rémy

I'm happy because I supported this move right from the very beginning. Ship out Torres and bring in Remy (okay, he had a low buyout, so it was convenient) is an amazing piece of business.

One of my favourite players in the squad. I'm a fanboy.

You and me Bruv

Remy's got so much swag, its unreal.

Co-sign what you guys are saying. He's clinical in front of goal and it amazes me that only a minority of fans see this.

I can't remember the last time we had a second choice striker or any striker for that matter who inspired confidence. if Costa misses an important game, there's actually no need to panic as long as remy is fully fit and available. which wasn't the case in the past. To think just 2 seasons ago, Torres was our first choice striker. we have come a long way for sure.

Spot on, I absolutely love Loic, he's a threat and a clinical striker to boot.

I would say Anelka used to get the job done. A very good second striker. Too bad he started playing the Mikel role - DM

he wasn't often injured and when given the chance he usually played well

I'm not saying he was injured all the time, but there were 2 times, once when Costa was injured and the second when Costa was suspended I believe, where Remy got the golden chance to shine and he couldn't play in neither run of games. I agree, not only he played well, but did much better then I expected. Great player.

But the issue here is that Remy isn't always fully fit and available, which makes me keen to sign someone in the Falcao category, in truth.

No way to sell him. He had massive contribution this season for us and is the perfect back-up striker. He knows that with us can get enough playing time and will compete for different silverware every season, so I don't think he will force a move for lower club in order for more playing time.

West Ham have offered Chelsea around £8-10m for Loic Remy, according to @ExWHUemployee. #WHUFC

When we only have one other striker, why would we sell someone for less than we signed him for, 10 months ago?

Furthermore, I highly doubt West Ham have offered anything considering the transfer window isn't open.

Not officially.

The Premier League allows clubs to announce signings throughout June, but a player's registration cannot be officially transferred until July 1.

Yeah but considering their is no more club games till then the window practically is open in everything but formality.

Dear lord it's fun to look back 10 months in this thread and see plenty of people saying he will be another Demba Ba. The boy has always had class. He showed it in Newcastle by not only by scoring goals but being very good in his general game as well. Now he is doing with us.

Call me deluded but I seriously think with the way he keeps playing and improving he is not far off challenging Costa for the starting position. However, at the moment all I expect from Mourinho is more rotation. Starting 6 games for a player who can start in almost all premier league clubs when you have an injury-prone Costa and an ageing Drogba is a crime.

I don't mind Falcao coming here only if it doesn't mean Loic will get less playtime. I remember in the first few months of the season Jose started Drogba instead of Remy a lot of times when Costa was injured. I hope we don't see any of that with Falcao coming in.

Ba wasnt as bad as people think. He didnt get much chance, but IMO would make a decent 2nd/3rd striker.

In my eyes very underrated striker, just like Remy is.

And we sold him for mere 3mio...
