termninja 5,290
I do agree that he doesn't shine with this world class aura despite performing really well, but the real reason why he is considered second choice to Costa is because when Costa couldn't play for a few games and Remy was supposed to come in and prove Jose need the real deal he usually got injured I really like the lad though, definitely want him to stay. DYC. 7,542
It's his rep/name/status. It's not fancy enough for some. To think some suggest bringing in Falcao to replace him or that Falcao would be ahead of him in the pecking order...Boy did I underrate him at first. I knew he was good but not this good. Liking him more and more every time he plays. Barbara, Bir_CFC, zolayes and 1 other

HRiver 1,512
Remy is one of our most underrated players by far, liked him from day one and he continues to impress. Deserves to play way more.who the f*ck even is Falcao?
Hybrid Angel 2,130
Dear lord it's fun to look back 10 months in this thread and see plenty of people saying he will be another Demba Ba. The boy has always had class. He showed it in Newcastle by not only by scoring goals but being very good in his general game as well. Now he is doing with us. Call me deluded but I seriously think with the way he keeps playing and improving he is not far off challenging Costa for the starting position. However, at the moment all I expect from Mourinho is more rotation. Starting 6 games for a player who can start in almost all premier league clubs when you have an injury-prone Costa and an ageing Drogba is a crime.I don't mind Falcao coming here only if it doesn't mean Loic will get less playtime. I remember in the first few months of the season Jose started Drogba instead of Remy a lot of times when Costa was injured. I hope we don't see any of that with Falcao coming in. iseah100 and Leif
Z4YN 20
He is a top striker and a perfect 2nd striker. If he would have had him last season, we would have won the title.
robsblubot 3,595
Remy has been a lot better than I originally thought - very happy about getting this one wrong.Surprised by his movement and runs into space.Question mark remains his fitness, but with Remy, we might have the luxury to give a chance to a youngster as a third option. Madmax 9,219
I'm happy because I supported this move right from the very beginning. Ship out Torres and bring in Remy (okay, he had a low buyout, so it was convenient) is an amazing piece of business. One of my favourite players in the squad. I'm a fanboy. Popular Post! lionsden 4,689 Posted June 3, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted June 3, 2015 I can't remember the last time we had a second choice striker or any striker for that matter who inspired confidence. if Costa misses an important game, there's actually no need to panic as long as remy is fully fit and available. which wasn't the case in the past. To think just 2 seasons ago, Torres was our first choice striker. we have come a long way for sure. magic weeds, BlueLion., LDN Blue and 5 others
