Everton v Chelsea

why? they are good teams for a reason and they deserve that respect specially away. we have the players to do that so why should we be so rigid with our tactics.

Mmm, dunno yet. It worked great last year, but it also sends a message to some players that they are no big game players in Mourinho's eyes.

if those players were good enough, they would have started. its about doing whats best for the team and club, not for a select few people.

Why willian not as RW, Cesc AMC, Ramires CM and Hazard LW?

Maybe Ramires to stop Baines , Hazard allowed to have a free role and not worry to much about tracking back and then Cesc plays a little deeper which imo is his better position. But Formations arn't that rigid they will chop and changes constantly throughout the game

Good lineup. I'm certainly no huge Ramires fan, but it's clear that Fabregas and Matic as the main central midfielders were a bit unbalanced against two promotion teams, and I could see it costing against better opponents like Everton. Also hopefully this should give Fabregas a bit more free role, which I think will make him even better in there.

Edit : only just saw the Chelsea twitter image. Hope that isn't true.

Mmm, strange that Oscar is not on the bench. Guess he is injured.

that's the obvious conclusion anyone with brains would have guessed.

It's one thing to have someone chosen over you - and also normal, as I said in his thread last week, if Mourinho has a different plan for a match, it's not that weird he doesn't start. But if he's not even in the bench then you don't need to think too much to conclude he's got some physical issue.

There are two different reports as of now, a virus and a knock in the ankle. I hope it's the former.

Edit: that said I absolute hate that midfield in the way Chelsea twitter feed reported. I hope it's a 4-3-3 with Ramires BEHIND Cesc... anything else leads me to bang my head on the walls constantly.
