RoyalBlues 4,050
Even Messi should know PL is much better than Bundesliga. Also why I've got the feeling if this deal happening, the last person who laugh would be one of Chelsea fans. Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
No, but he's one player you can excuse. you may be right... Sounds like an expensive compensation though. We'd have to likely get another ball winner in the midfield who can keep the ball, use it and win a high percentage of tackles to go next to Matic... Maybe Khedira but then there's no room for Cesc...It just doesn't fit with anything we're trying to do unfortunately.

BlueLyon 9,359
Why the fuck do we need messi for? He is going to be 28/29 before he would come here and I wouldnt pay 200m for player of this age, no matter what. Why cant we stick to Hazard and have our own legend instead of going after barca one? BlueLyon 9,359
Same reason with why we want to sign Reus for... on the right wingReus would cost 25m. Messi would cost 200m and we would probably have to sell at least Hazard. Also I dont think Messi would come here to play Rw, do the hard work, track back and feed balls to Costa.I seriously hope we dont spend money on Messi, but invest it in good CB, Rw and back up striker after Drogba goes. It is a good deal imo. Also he could play as a striker if necessary. Agree though if we have to pay 200m from our own pocket, better spent it for 3 or 4 players. DoubleO 192
I don't believe any of this. Would be funny to see Messi in the PL to be honest, but I don't know if I'd want him to join us even though he's definitely one of the best footballers in the world. It is impossible to even think him wearing a Chelsea shirt let alone thinking of him playing in our new system.

CurlyHairLikeLuiz 1,625
I was sceptical before but if Adidas funds most of the transfer then £60mil is a bloody good deal - But; what would happen with Willian? Would he become our new bench warmer or keep Schurrle and sell Willian to help fund the transfer?

The one who stay will be our 4th choice AM definitely. If we could get around 20m from it, would be nice. Feel like we sign Messi for 40m.

Damn, both are good lads. Also I thought Willian could offer more different playing style to Messi rather than Schurrle. Schurrle playing style almost the same as Messi imo. I feel Jose will choose Willian to stay.In addition to that, Schurrle rumour are strong to be sold already. So my bet it is him.
