I was sceptical before but if Adidas funds most of the transfer then £60mil is a bloody good deal - But; what would happen with Willian? Would he become our new bench warmer or keep Schurrle and sell Willian to help fund the transfer?

If we do sign him, pretty sure one of Schurrle or Willian will be sold. The one who stay will be our 4th choice AM definitely. If we could get around 20m from it, would be nice. Feel like we sign Messi for 40m.

Might be Willian who will be sold, but like Schurrle it seems both are really doesn't mind being on the bench. Damn, both are good lads.

Also I thought Willian could offer more different playing style to Messi rather than Schurrle. Schurrle playing style almost the same as Messi imo. I feel Jose will choose Willian to stay.

The other thing with Messi is that I'd imagine FFP has rules against the Adidas chips in style transfer, surely, and even if they don't, realistically to come here he will want to earn more money than Ronaldo, or in other words a wage packet of >£20 million, and over the past year or so Chelsea has been trying to stick within the rules... Even if we get him for £30 million after selling Willian, or £40-45 if we sell Schurrle, with a wage packet of £20m a year, factoring in merchandise sales of, say, £5 million, basically it's the equivalent first year of buying Torres again, and every year after that Danny Welbeck. Not that I'm saying it's not worth it, it's just the scale of it for just one player...

Oh, and I have no doubt we'll get a load of unsavoury fans from Barca only there for Messi coming into the Chelsea circle.

**** Messi, I really dont want him. He is a worldbeater, but I dont like the man and I dont want us to pay that much for one player that turns 28 soon. If we have all that money we should go for Pogba and Reus instead. They are already stars and they are younger and will only get better. In Hazard we have our own Messi. No thanks.

Messi will never play on the wing and track back. He will play as #10 or striker.

Not sure about this, currently we don't have one absolute star in the team which is good. Cesc, Costa and Hazard are equal. When Messi comes it will disturb this hierarchy, he will be the absolute number one star. Not sure what effect it will have on the team.
