And the comments Simeone made suggest there's a lot in it. The Telegraph is also a reliable source. At least more so than those other ones you mentioned. The only place to be 11,313
This talk of Chelsea being a graveyard for strikers when we can only talk of 3 examples in 20 years is not very accurate on further scrutiny. Sutton? Casiraghi? Fleck?
MrExcalibur100 7,124
Sutton? Casiraghi? Fleck?Sutton was so poor that I forgot about him. I never wanted us to sign him anyway as I never liked him as a player. Fleck was before I started supporting the club.Casiraghi was unlucky with injuries. He was actually a good player, but he suffered a very bad injury when it seemed he was about to come good. Never really recovered.Other teams have had their fair share of duds too. Drogzola 283
He didn't write an article about Diego Costa in particular. He said today that Atletico Madrid will buy Cerci from Torino because Diego Costa is going to Chelsea. They are also interested in Icardi, but probably in the end they will go for Cerci as they are scouting him for a long, long time. Atletico also had scouts yesterday at Torino's game in wich Cerci scored a beauty. And he also said in another article that Juventus have been given the green light to sign Mandzukic now that Chelsea isn't interested in him anymore and Mourinho will sign Diego Costa. In this case then I would go for Cerci as Atletico always seem to end up with great strikers, we could steal him and pay a lot less. Win win.
LondonPride1905 236
Diego Costa's clause is exactly 32 million pounds. I dont know where the 50 million came, but I am guessing the media want to put as much pressure on him as they can. Cunts.

MrExcalibur100 7,124
A strike force of Costa-Lukkaku-Bamford is salivating to me. A good blend of youth and experience. What do you guys think? And yes, I know it's unlikely. But yeah.No chance Bamford is our 3rd striker. Will rather have Costa, Eto'o, Lukaku.

quickpassnmove 924
No one reporting on this story knows the transfer fee, but it looks like 42.5 million EUROS is the current estimation by some papers. It's amazing how often the daily papers in England report the cost in pounds as though 42mil EUROS = 42 mil P. 42.5Euros = ~35P, which is a very good price for a supposed top striker --in the present high-spending climate. Means we would be getting Costa for less money than PSG for a slightly older Cavani last summer.

Jype 6,398
For €42m this would be a fantastic piece of business. If it's really happening, I hope it will be done before the World Cup.
AndersonBLUE 819
Can't get excited over any striker signings anymore. I'll welcome him if he comes but meh, Chelsea have a habit of making shit decisions with strikers lately.
dee25 1,044
I think 35m would be excellent business. I've watched quite a bit of Atletico's games this season and I have the same question mark about Costa as a few others do - is he a great striker or is he a product of a very good Atleti side? His technical ability is decent but nothing exceptional and while his link-up play might be better than Falcao's but sometimes he could look really awkward with the ball at his feet - Ramires awkward. But on the other hand he strikes me as a late bloomer type of player and to be honest I see so many similarities between him and Drogba in his first season here - the way they both play, their attitude, their fighting nature, and I think Costa even has that bit of rawness in his game that Drogba also had back then. So while I wouldn't put him on the same level as the great strikers, but I do see a lot of potential in him to reach those heights and I think he'd do well here - especially under Mourinho. One can only hope.
