DanishBlue 426
I just found out that Costa had an ACL knee injury a few years ago.I didn't know that. It doesn't seem like it's a problem but I just hope that it will not mean anything in a few years time. I don't know much about ACL beside that it's pretty bad. BlueSunshine 672
Finally, we will have a proper striker again. He might not be my preferred choice and i still have doubts about him, but if that means the end of Torres then i am more than happy to see him here.I just hope that Courtois isn't involved in any way in this deal and that Lukaku won't be sold, because both will be very stupid moves. Ainsley Harriott 2,732
Still buzzing bros. Goddamn Chelsea with a real striker and this is just the beggining.Competition = Scared.
The Chels 2,502
He's only 25 so I suspect that he will naturally improve as he reaches his peak years but I think it's unrealistic to expect (like I've read) Mourinho to improve him drastically because while they are both very similar in terms of their attitude and passion, we shouldn't forget that his current manager is Simeone, who just oozes passion. I doubt Costa would be playing this well without Simeone's management, so it will be interesting to see how he does fare away from him. The Chels 2,502
There goes my dream for cavani. We missed our chance for Cavani last year. Buying Napoli's best player and buying PSG's best (or one of) are two very different propositions.

sdrcfc 461
If we do sign Costa then we'll just be in need of a CM and LB for the starting line-up, hopefully we'll see Shaw and someone like Rakitic.----------Courtois-----------Azpi-Cahill-Terry-Shaw---------Matic-Rakitic(?)-----Willian-Oscar-Hazard-------------Costa------------That side just oozes quality; world class 11. BlueLyon 9,359
Even if he arrives, I wont get too excited, the striker history is terrible here in past few years...Lets wait and see how he does, then we will talk, get excited and shit. Pizy 18,903
Excited about Costa, but would anyone else be even more excited with a top class Matic partner like I would be? Being able to dominate sides in midfield would go a long way in helping Costa and our attacking players flourish.

gary gordon 1,777
People comparing Costa to Torres have lost it. Forget about the stats, body language alone shows how Diego Costa will not fail at Chelsea. Torres plays most of the game with his hands by his side, shoulders slumped over, making runs into an open position only once the ball has already been shot, then waving his hands in the air like he was in that position all game. Torres takes 1 or 2 touches too many, Costa hits first time. Costa makes runs into the right position, Torres can't find that position if you marked it with a big red X.
