Henrique 9,133
Twice the player Morata is or ever will be. I never looked at Conte in the same way after this stupid decision.

BlueLyon 9,359
Say what you want, he gave everything for Chelsea in 3 years, helping us come back on top of England. His character was questionable, but in a way it was perfect. Gave something else to this team, something I think despite Alvaro's goals, we are still missing. Oh and his chant...there wont be equal for a player for a while I think. Thank you for everything and good luck Diego Diego Diego

On again, off again doesn't really count as "giving it his all" while fully healthy. Johnnyeye and OhForAGreavsie

He didn't in the last half a year and in 15/16. Actually he took something away with his petulant tantrums this summer. gadget 126
Picked him up at his peak--> 2 league titles --> Sold for £20m more than we paid at almost 29yo + replaced with another with potential to be better. Works out all round  all the best Deigo Magic Lamps

Works out all round  all the best Deigo I was thinking the same. If not for his only-Atletico-policy, we could have recouped even more and this would be hailed as the deal of the century. But still even in this marked to make such a huge profit on a 29 year old who is ages away from match fitness and can only play in January is some decent business giving how weak our negotiation position was. Great deal by the board. And also those parting words (apart from the Community Shield fuck up) added a touch of class to this otherwise unholy affair. also Conte and the club found the right words. gadget

That was a nice farewell letter, but let's not pretend about him giving it his all in his Chelsea tenure. He didn't. Clearly didn't.  Anyway, farewell Costa. You have done well. I'm happy you got your club back, and I'm happy you're gone. I miss your goals and 'fear' presence you bring to opponents, but not your unstable character.  15 hours ago, quickpassnmove said: Meh, I never saw it that way during wintertime and during spats. But yeah, you must clearly know more about him than his teammates lol. He was our top scorer in past 3 years. We won 2 titles massively thanks to his goals. 2015/16 everyone was below average, makes no sense to point out only Costa. If so then, we should get rid of entire team... Its funny how everyone sees only events of past few months. No, its actualy sad. There were so many great moments Costa gave to this club and, yet people always go and point out the few bad moments. Typical negative thinking. Costa is now gone and his role at chelsea is over, that it. Personaly I think its good to find the good points in everything, I will remember him as valuable player for Chelsea, one that helped us win many games. He was not the most pleasant character, but thats why he was so good. He was the exact player no one liked but at same time everyone would love to have in their team. Like it or not, he was big big character in our dressing room and judging by players, a positive too. Im sure he will do well in atletico and I wish him all the best, but hopefuly never against chelsea if we meet in future heh. The whole society is throwing us the "nice" guy ideals, but sometimes its good to have a different, rebelious or bad guy character in squad. It certainly makes life more interesting that way. Judging the whole three years with Costa, cant say it was dull. So many funny and provocative moments that made seasons even more interesting. And on top of that, also two PL titles. Not a bad for someone everyone here says he almost destroyed Chelsea seasons. The media certainly did great job making you believe their story. Then you see Eden, Cesc, Tibo,...picking only the best words about Diego... At the beginning of last season, he played so well for us that I was ready to FORGET EVERY RESERVATION I HAD ABOUT HIM and even thought about buying his shirt. But what did he do... AGAIN????  Every season it was something. So, although you clearly don't understand why people don't like him, it might be easier to understand why fans like myself would still rather buy a Drogba shirt after three years of Diego's superb-then-disappointing cycles. If it were injury problems all of us would be more understanding. His teammates would always get along with him because he brings levity and enjoyment among them; that means nothing to fans who see a petulent prick who doesn't give it his best effort during a whole season 3 years running.
