Oscar 441
The weird thing is that this is euro season and he might not get selected at this rate/form.
The Skipper 20,609
brilliant again?"controlled the mid" did he?any pressure and he loses the ball and people were going gung ho about him "controlling the mid" against 9 men. i honestly dont know how shit he needs to get to be dropped. hopeless. He was awful today, but was one of the best on the pitch against the 11 man Arsenal. He controlled the game during that period the best. Stats
MrExcalibur100 7,124
Mourinho's negative influence on this team is making good players look much worse than they actually are. I have some sympathy for Cesc. Until this bloke is still our manager, I'm done blaming individual players. They can only do what their manager instructs them to do in training and try and implement it on the pitch. Nuski and zolayes

He controlled the game during that period the best.i have told u and several others exactly why i dont think so. as for control, arsenal had the best oppurtunity (ramsey shot/pass), plus if theo had been a bit better, he would have had some good oppurtunities to score on the counter. the control was given not taken. arsenal planned on sitting back and get behind our defence. Spike 12,049
He wasn't that bad. He tried to make stuff happen but it is hard when players around don't know what to do. He has never been a defensive or a ball retaining stalwart, so I never expect that from him. The Skipper and BlueLion.

Spike 12,049
The team makes Cesc look bad because they don't know what to do with his passes. The guy [Cesc] is a liability in defence and possession, anybody who has watched Barcelona and Arsenal know that. Fabregas's defensive positioning has and always will be horrible. That is why he didn't work in Barcelona's midfield. Mourinho likes structure, I get the feeling players like Hazard and Fabregas are the opposite. the wes 7,212
Cesc makes Matic look bad fabregas always lets us down with defensive duties I would push fabregas into the number 10 role and buy a cracking midfielder to play alongside Matic in January

Magic Lamps 11,692
He's not good enough defensively to play deep. He isn't as effective higher up. Conundrum.yup. he should be a no.8 in a 4-3-3 put Ramires/RLC and Matic besides him and he will be fine. But Oscar right in front of Cesc will only work conditionally. But against a hard-working and pressing medium block both are not good enough at shielding the ball physically when there are norruns for creating space for their passes. Jase 43,479
He just finished his presser for the Champions League game and seriously, his performance off the pitch is much more impressive than on it.
11Drogba 2,000
Last year him and Matic used to cover 11.5 km on average. I could not find for the league, but against Maccabi he ran 10.5 km. I think Matic similarly runs less this year. I don't know why it is so hard to find this stat for Premiere League matches, this is not the case for Bundesliga or Champions League.
