How is he physically? Still at the top of his game or declining? Has he had any serious injuries lately? Vidal and Sanchez used to be a a dream of mine, still is, getting Vidal would make 50% of that come true.

Far from what he once was. Now he is more of a Xabi Alonso (not as good, but similar role), than bulldog b2b he was at juve.

He is still quality no doubt (and since we have Kante already, it would be perfect), but if people expect him to run week in week out, tackle left and right, they wont see that. Juve sold him partly because he was getting older. Even at his peak in juve, he got heavy legs, fatigue and injuries in late stages of season, and that was 4 years ago.

Vidal was always one of my favourite players, but his role was completely changed at bayern under Pep. He takes half less defensive actions these days, runs less, but has better positioning and passing.

Not as good? I have seen so many Bayern fans who want Xabi out.

OH and they really like Vidal

Some clowns think they can milk €100m from us  The Chinese and the bastards from Manchester have distorted the market so much. We are not blameless in this of course because we were the first in England who started this, but have we really reached a point in just a few years where people consider 100 million for a 30 year old reasonable? Just 5 years ago we bought Hazard for €37m, 2 years ago Costa for the same amount. Let that sink in. The reported €65m fee is inflated enough as it is, but I would take that because he'd improve us immensely and you cannot expect sustained success by not overspending a bit.

Yeah, Leicester didn't put up much of a resistance. We are actually very shrewd in the market apart from one big fuck up (Torres) which was ages ago. After that we have been making tons of smart buys and smart sales (except for, you know, De Bruyne and a few others).

When managers cant find a way to handle obviously good players tro the point that they have to sell them rather than get into the players head and turn things around then its the clubs fault for letting the manager do it.

A manager now isn't just a football trainer. He needs a psychology degree and sometimes thats an even more important part of his job.

Yes but Xabi is about to retire and Vidal is not.

I meant if you put Xabi in his prime and current Vidal, Xabi was better in that holding role.

With the money we got saved from sales, the money not spent in transfers plus the extra money we will get the end of the season we really do need 2 or 3 players of Verrattis standard. Hes the perfect guy thast we need and whoever it is thats supposed to be bringing players in, whether theyre on holiday or summet who knows, but they need to get out there and start earning their millions.

They must be crazy for wanting Xabi out, this kind of player is extremely rare. World Class passer who is not a major liability on defense. Only maybe toni kroos right know that is similar
