BleedsBlue 1,549
The Jose factor helped us sign him. Perks of having a top class manager, not a surprise that he rejected United.
Korea 734
I read Sunderland was interested in taking Zouma out on loan....I wonder what Jose's plan is for him next season.

Think he probably will go on loan. I'm guessing Omeruo is ahead of him most likely, considering how he's been playing in the world cup. Joker10 946
I rate him higher than Omeruo...but we will see what Mourinho thinks..From what i have seen from those two, which i will be completely honest is very little. But Omeruo looks so much better, his all round ability is so much better and reading of the game is so much better. Zouma from what i have seen is completely raw, he is a freakish athlete and like no other. But his defensive understanding needs lots and lots of work. Zouma had a bad 2013-2014 season, his stock really went down. He was ranked so much higher prior to this season, he showed some real concern and flaws this season. Next season will be important for him and how he rebounds, needs to prove that he is more then an athlete. lionsden
OneMoSalah 8,886
A year at Sunderland ... suspect this is not what Zouma had in mind when Mourinho told him he wanted to 'do a Varane' with him.A year at Sunderland is better than playing 5 or 6 cup games though. I think he will need 2 seasons on loan anyway, hes very raw still. I_Just_Blue_Myself
Korea 734
Sunderland backline is terrible.I remember watching a ton of their games last season and I think the Man United duo are their starting Cbs, brown and O'shea. They loaned out diakite and had a south american there as well (I think Vergini?) Zouma should get plenty of time there. Blue Gino 377
I'm not sold on Mourinho loaning out all three of our promising center backs, with Iva the only backup option left, cover is needed.

Pizy 18,907
Awesome! Is it? I'd rather him have a Premier League loan to get used to the competition than go back to the nothing league he was in. petr.breu and Barbara

CHOULO19 24,332
Awesome! Not awesome! The level of defending in the PL is miles ahead of that in Ligue 1. I'd rather he goes to Sunderland for us to properly evaluate him in the PL even if Monaco play CL. Would he even be a starter for Monaco? petre.ispirescu 4,928
Chelsea can't waste such a big talent and the board should think twice before making a decision about Zouma. He has had a tough time at St. Etienne in 2014. He's gone from hero to zero in a blink of an eye and the coach dropped him immediately after his transfer here.He must go to a team where he can be a regular starter week-in, week-out. Another season on the bench and he might end up like Josh.Monaco have a 35 yo Abidal and a 36 yo Carvalho as their CB pairing. And I haven't seen them linked with any top class defender yet. On paper, Zouma should be a starter there. But if Monaco can't guarantee him at least 60% of matches as a starter, then I don't know, I'd rather have him here than on Monaco's bench. Or, the worst case scenario, as a starter for Vitesse. Muzchap and The only place to be
BlueLyon 9,359
As long he gets REGULAR playtime I dont mind him going to Monaco/Sunland. But if he will sit on bench I prefer him to stay here.
