mediator 2,026
How fast is he?Terry level, cahill level or Varane level?Don't know if serious but "His surprisingly quick pace makes him one of the quickest centre backs"http://outsideoftheboot.com/2013/05/02/kurt-zouma-scout-report/

I hope he develops his awareness and learns to time his jumps better. He could be vital in some games against fast attackers.

Popular Post! Styles 9,790 Posted October 21, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted October 21, 2014 Another good game building on his performance against Bolton. His passing looked better too and it good to see that he was using both feet.Oh and btw, Mangala had another bad game and was at fault for one of the two goals City conceded tonight. Perhaps the comparison made in here was flattering to Mangala Term-X, OneMoSalah, Reddish-Blue and 2 others

Rambo 1,729
He looks like LeBron James when he's jumping for corners. Incredible vertical and freak athlete. kellzfresh and The Skipper
OneMoSalah 8,886
Looks like he is getting more comfortable in possession. The boy is freakily big for a 20 year old, an absolute unit. Was only Maribor though but he looked good in aerial duels and ground duels.
iseah100 5,612
Zouma, Ake, Baker, and Solanke. The future is bright (:
DH1988 1,348
Comfortable game, didn't make any lapses in concentration like we saw in pre-season etc. telegraphing his passing way too much coming out from the back though was literally the only negative I could take from his performance.Should be playing basketball with that leap. TheChelseaDane 48
Nice performance from the kid. Even though it was a bad team, he played really well. Looks comfortable and calm, and must be a big up having JT as mentor. I am comfortable about our future CB's!

I can't wait to see that game with him, Aké, Salah and hopefully Solanke in the starting eleven.
CHOULO19 24,332
Flawless game. Didn't really have much to do, especially after the first 20 minutes, but I don't think anyone noticed the absence of Gary Cahill. He filled his boots very well. DH1988 1,348
Id like to see him used in cups games against better opposition just to get a feel for where he's at since he's been training with the first team etc. Maribor isn't the best example nor is it the EPL so I'd like to see us draw someone Top 8 EPL and play him then. killer1257

The Chels 2,502
They're both quite poor on the ball which instantly limits their potential IMO. It's not something you can really improve.

John Terry was almost always the slowest player in the squad, for example; never stopped him from being the best CB in the world at a point in his career. John Terry was almost always the slowest player in the squad, for example; never stopped him from being the best CB in the world at a point in his career. But JT's mostly played in a low block and with a fast partner (Carvalho, Cahill) so his lack of pace isn't often exposed. My fear with Zouma though is that when he is pressed by the opposition or in a slightly difficult position he will just concede possession because he can't do much with the ball. I noticed that somewhat against Maribor who are hardly great. He seems to have to put in a lot of effort to play even the simplest of passes, never mind when he's under pressure. Personally I'd prefer to see Jose developing a defender who has the physicality and good technical ability like Christensen.
