zolayes 14,489
I've just looked at his starts, he usually appears in about 40-50 games a season, getting about 10-12 goals every season.Today was just his 13 appearance this season foor Chelsea, but he has got 4 goals this season. So his minutes per goal ratio must be quite good without the context.if you celebrate a Kalou goal ...You are an enemy of Chelsea..... Popular Post! Kostas 1,468 Posted March 18, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted March 18, 2012 I would love it if Kalou scored the winner in the CL final, i wonder what would be the more popular topic of discussion, us being Champions on Europe or Kalou getting another one of those 'lucky tap ins'.I swear I've seen you post this well over 5 times. Do you expect a specific reaction or just post this to wind-us up? SW_Blue, manpe, Bosnian Blue and 4 others

Ollie 4,400
My problem with Kalou is quite simple. For someone who has a decent amount of ability, he should produce a hell of a lot more than what he does and should manage to get past defenders and put in a telling final ball. He clearly doesn't have the beating of defenders or a final ball. He's not a bad finisher but just don't produce often.

Maybe we should sell him and re-sign him for £50m and give him 180k a week then he will all off a sudden get 'support',Anyway ive had enough ive decided this forum isn't for me anymore. bababoom 4,478
Cant we all just agree he's shit, yes he may score the odd goal but he does nothing else.Like today, what else did he do apart from score? at least Torres actually runs back and tries to win the ball back.It seems like people forget how frustrating and poor Kalou can be, maybe it's because he hasn't played that much this season. Also to all the Kalou lovers, most of you still bash Malouda, why? when he actually had good spells for Chelsea, even now i think he performs better than Kalou. Popular Post! Ollie 4,400 Posted March 19, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted March 19, 2012 We don't cheer Torres because he cost £50m, we cheer him because of his stature and his presence in world football. He's a true superstar, a football icon who has won the World Cup and European Championships. We all just appreciate who he is and that he's here. Shevchenko was exactly the same, he flopped tbh, i don't like to say it but he did but we all still loved him because of his superstar status. Sheva is a football legend and we're proud to say he was here wearing the Chelsea shirt. Torres hasn't had the best Chelsea career to date but he's still Fernando Torres, one of the best strikers in world football and he's only 27. He could maybe, just maybe go and bag another 15 goals this season and be back to his old self next season. The likelihood is that he probably wont but we all respect what he's done in his career to date. We could go n get Messi, Villa, Xavi etc, they could completely flop but we'd always support them and be willing for them to do well. They don't mean to play badly, it's just obviously not the team for them but it doesn't mean they have gone shit.Compare Torres to Kalou today. Torres was better at everything from tackling to having more shots to running and beating defenders, to scoring, to assisting and to working for the team. This is a Typical Torres performance when he's in the mood and in form. Kalou would never, ever be able to come close to replicating it because quite simply, whether he's banging them in or not, Torres is 100x the better player in every aspect. I've grown to dislike Lampard the man but I would still cheer him on on the field.

BlueLion. 21,491
If Kalou continues to play for Chelsea for four more seasons, making at least 29 appearances in those seasons and continuing his present goals-to-games ratio, he will become our 10th-highest goalscorer of all-time. capriccioso

The thing is he can't for the life of him keep the ball and that is potentially fatal. I can't believe that he's been at Chelsea for 5 seasons now and he still can't control the ball, we have some of the best training facilities in the world. This guy needs to play in a 4-4-2 and he needs to play next to another striker and I believe he could probably get around 20 league goals playing in that type of set up. Kojo 4,676
It's obvious, Kalou is a great player, i don't care what you say about his abillity, the point is and the point Tomo is getting across, is that he scores 50 goals every game, play him in the centre ffs, just fucking go do it. pHaRaOn
