Another great goal and another great performance. But wait, he is a player that only scored a goal against us, nothing more.

I don't know which was the reason for that him not triumphed here, but for me, he is absolutely a great player.

He was never given a run a games this season. His ability was never in doubt by the people who knew more about him than just his cameo appearances.

Certainly Salah had his silver linings at Chelsea.
Personally i remember his goal against Arsenal or some nice passes, but mostly he wasn't good enough.
Yes he has got a nice ball controll, yes he can pass, but we shouldn't forget how most of his shots were, more than once he failed miserably, Shrewsbury anyone?!

At Florenz most teams doesn't park the bus against his new team so he gets more space and can use his quickness.
Salah gets more freedom, because he is one of their best players, sometimes he plays as a second striker.
In addition with all due respect the football in Italy is slower, thats the next bonus for him.
Cuadrado dominated the Italian League, look how he struggles now.

I wish Salah all the best and i am happy that he's doing so well, but for a top team like Chelsea he wasn't good enoug, sadly.

Salah couldn't cope with the pressure of being a squad player here, which is why we never saw much of what he's showing on the pitch right now. The same applied to Schurrle, and to a similar extent Sturridge, who never really got a fair chance before being unceremoniously offloaded to Liverpool.

Juan NEVER dominated Serie A. Juan had a decent season last season, but Salah has already shown he is the better of the two. It's clear as day!

if that's true that Italian league is slow with lot of space, then Mourinho is making a mistake when he buys players from Serie A...

Cuadrado scored only 4 goals in 17 appearances in Serie a this season with Fiorentina, So how he was dominated the Italian League!!

First things first, thank you all for expressing your opinions, here are a lot of active members, i am not used to it, haha

My bad, last season he didn't dominate the league, not the way Messi or Ronaldo do every week.
Most defenders marked him almost every game and fouled him brutally. He couldn't cope with that style of play the way he did before. He wasn't bad though!
In my opinion, a year ago, he was way more effective. He did everything and his opponents couldn't cope with his pace and skill.
Cuadrado is much more experienced than Salah and till now he hasn't played so much.
In the last game he lost the ball very often, thats not very good, but he was committed and tried a lot, i think he will still come good, give him more time to adapt.
In contrast to Salah i haven't seen the wayward shooting!
We all saw at the biggest stage in the world, what Cuadrado is capable of.

These days the speed is reduced in Serie A, but nearly every team knows how to defend properly.
The Italian Teams can smoothly switch there formations within seconds, all of them are able to stay tight and so on.
Particularly the tactics are still good. A good tactical education is a thing, Mourinho appreciates a lot!

You should also take into consideration that in general, opponents play different against a worldclass team like Chelsea than Florenz.
It's easier to beat Florenz than Chelsea, therefore you will get more space because the teams don't defend so deep.
Can you remember how Gervinho failed miserably in the PL?
From my point of view Gervinho as well as Salah are very similar players. If they are used as counter-attacking players with a lot of freedom, you will get the best out of them. In position of the ball and with less space and freedom, both of them aren't able to perform so well.

On the contrary i think that Cuadrado can handle this style of play in the long run a lot better, because he is more versatile and is still able to produce with lesser space, but thats just my opinion. ^^

Montella on Salah...

http://www.football-italia.net/64764/montella-salah-will-stay

“Salah deserves all the credit for this great impact on Serie A. I don’t know the details of how we can buy him permanently, but I do know there’s another year on loan and then we’ll see.

“The club has to ultimately evaluate the financial issues, but the important thing is that he’s going to be here with us next year.

“I knew his quality, but admittedly I did not expect Salah to adapt so quickly to Serie A. He has scored important and decisive goals against big clubs.”

He's allowed to have a quiet game without the manager losing faith and it has done wonders for his confidence. Very happy for him, he seemed like a very good guy. Fun player to watch.

Don't think he has a future at Chelsea so I wish him good luck.

Thanks Jason.

This is really disappointing since it sounds like we are locked in to the loan agreement for next season. We can only hope that Moh maintains his form and preserves his value through next season. Unless he further increases it of course. :)

It's Fiorentina that came with an idea to take him on loan ? Or we were the ones who offered that ?

I personally think that was Viola with such thoughts. And we gave him without hesitation, but they probably have watched him on several occasions and liked what they saw.

When Chelsea bought David Luiz they offered Matic in part-exchange without a tear dropped. But Benfica have watched Matic several times and didn't take him without extensive scouting.

It's funny when those clubs see better players in them than Chelsea even though they're their own players.

Money surplus and desire to win trophies make "big" clubs worry less about developing players, they need a complete end product with exactly the specific skill set they want to play a specific role they want and nothing less
